Acts 6:8-12
And Stephen, full of grace and power, was performing great 1wonders and 2signs among the people.
But some men from what was called the Synagogue of the Freedmen, including both 3Cyrenians and 4Alexandrians, and some from 5Cilicia and 67Asia, rose up and argued with Stephen.
But they were unable to 8cope with his wisdom and the Spirit by whom he was speaking.
Then they secretly induced men to say, “We have heard him speak blasphemous words against Moses and God.”
And they stirred up the people, the elders, and the scribes, and they 9came up to him and dragged him away, and brought him 10before 11the 12Council.
