25Absalom put 1Amasa 2in command of the army in place of Joab. Now Amasa was the son of a man whose name was 3Ithra the Israelite, who 4had relations with Abigail the daughter of 5Nahash, sister of Zeruiah, Joab’s mother. 26And Israel and Absalom camped in the land of Gilead.
