2 Peter 1:16-21

16For we did not follow cleverly devised 1tales when we made known to you the 2power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but we were 3eyewitnesses of His majesty. 17For when He received honor and glory from God the Father, such a 45declaration as this was made to Him by the 6Majestic Glory: “This is 7My beloved Son with whom I am well pleased”-- 18and we ourselves heard this 8declaration made from heaven when we were with Him on the 9holy mountain.

19And so we have 10the prophetic word made more 11sure, to which you do well to pay attention as to 12a lamp shining in a dark place, until the 13day dawns and the 14morning star arises 15in your hearts. 20But 16know this first of all, that 17no prophecy of Scripture 18becomes a matter of 19someone’s own interpretation, 21for 20no prophecy was ever made by an act of human will, but men 21moved by the Holy Spirit spoke from God.
