1 Samuel 25:32-35

32Then David said to Abigail, “1Blessed be the Lord God of Israel, who sent you this day to meet me, 33and blessed be your discernment, and blessed be you, 2who have kept me this day from 3bloodshed and from 4avenging myself by my own hand. 34Nevertheless, as the Lord God of Israel lives, 5who has restrained me from harming you, if you had not come quickly to meet me, there certainly would not have been left to Nabal until the morning light as much as one 6male.” 35So David accepted from her hand what she had brought him, and said to her, “7Go up to your house in peace. See, I have listened to 8you and 910granted your request.”
