1 Peter 3:13-17

131And who is 2there to harm you if you prove zealous for what is good?

14But even if you should 3suffer for the sake of righteousness, 4you 5are blessed. 6And do not fear their 7intimidation, and do not be in dread,

15but 8sanctify 9Christ as Lord in your hearts, always being ready 10to make a 11defense to everyone who asks you to give an account for the 12hope that is in you, but 13with gentleness and 14respect;

1615and keep a 16good conscience so that in the thing in which 17you are slandered, those who disparage your good behavior in Christ will be put to shame.

17For 18it is better, 19if 20God should will it so, that you suffer for doing what is right rather than for doing what is wrong.
