1 Peter 1:8-12

8and 1though you have not seen Him, you 2love Him, and though you do not see Him now, but believe in Him, you greatly rejoice with joy inexpressible and 3full of glory, 9obtaining as 4the outcome of your faith, the salvation of 5your souls.

10 6As to this salvation, the prophets who 7prophesied of the 8grace that would come to you made careful searches and inquiries, 11 9seeking to know what person or time 10the Spirit of Christ within them was indicating as He 11predicted the sufferings of Christ and the glories 12to follow. 12It was revealed to them that they were not serving themselves, but you, in these things which now have been announced to you through those who 13preached the gospel to you by 14the Holy Spirit sent from heaven--things into which 15angels long to 16look.
