17If you 1address as Father the One who 2impartially 3judges according to each one’s work, conduct yourselves 4in fear during the time of your 5stay on earth;

18knowing that you were not 6 7redeemed with perishable things like silver or gold from your 8futile way of life inherited from your forefathers,

19but with precious 9blood, as of a 10lamb unblemished and spotless, the blood of Christ.

20For He was 11foreknown before 12the foundation of the world, but has 13appeared 14in these last times 15for the sake of you
