1 Kings 21:25-29
251There certainly was no one like Ahab who gave himself over to do evil in the sight of the Lord, 2because Jezebel his wife incited him. 263He also acted very despicably in following idols, 4conforming to everything that the Amorites had done, whom the Lord drove out from the sons of Israel.
27Yet it came about, when Ahab heard these words, that 5he tore his clothes and put 6on sackcloth and fasted, and he lay in sackcloth and went about despondently. 28Then the word of the Lord came to Elijah the Tishbite, saying, 29“Do you see how Ahab has humbled himself before Me? Because he has humbled himself before Me, I will not bring the disaster in his days; I will bring the disaster upon his house 7in his son’s days.”
