Zephaniah 1:4-12

4“So I will 1stretchH5186 out My handH3027 againstH5921 JudahH3063 And againstH5921 allH3605 the inhabitantsH3427 of JerusalemH3389. And I will 2cutH3772 offH3772 the remnantH7605 of BaalH1168 from thisH2088 placeH4725, And the namesH8034 of the 3idolatrousH3649 priestsH3649 alongH5973 with the priestsH3548.5And those who bowH7812 downH7812 on the 4housetopsH1406 to the hostH6635 of heavenH8064, And those who bowH7812 downH7812 and 5swearH7650 to the LordH3068 and yet swearH7650 by 6 7MilcomH4445,6And those who have 8turnedH5472 backH5472 from followingH310 the LordH3068, And those whoH834 have 9not soughtH1245 the LordH3068 or inquiredH1875 of Him.”

7 10 11Be silentH2013 beforeH4480 H6440 the LordH136 12GodH3068! For the 13dayH3117 of the LordH3068 is nearH7138, For the LordH3068 has preparedH3559 a 14sacrificeH2077, He has 15consecratedH6942 His guestsH7121.8“Then it will comeH1961 about on the dayH3117 of the Lord’sH3068 sacrificeH2077 That I will 16punishH6485 the princesH8269, the king’sH4428 sonsH1121 And allH3605 who clotheH3847 themselves with 17foreignH5237 garmentsH4403.9And I will punishH6485 on that dayH3117 allH3605 who leapH1801 on the temple thresholdH4670, Who fillH4390 the houseH1004 of their 18lordH113 with 19violenceH2555 and deceitH4820.10On that dayH3117,” declaresH5002 the LordH3068, “There will be the soundH6963 of a cryH6818 from the 20FishH1709 GateH8179, A wailH3215 from the 21 22SecondH4932 Quarter, And a loudH1419 crashH7667 from the 23hillsH1389.11WailH3213, O inhabitantsH3427 of the 24MortarH4389, For allH3605 the 25peopleH5971 of 26CanaanH3667 will be silencedH1820; AllH3605 who weighH5187 out 27silverH3701 will be cutH3772 offH3772.12It will comeH1961 about at that timeH6256 That I will 28searchH2664 JerusalemH3389 with lampsH5216, And I will punishH6485 the menH376 Who are 29 30stagnantH7087 in spiritH8105, Who sayH559 in their heartsH3824, ‘The LordH3068 will 31not doH3190 goodH3190 or evilH7489!’
