Song of Songs 1:2-8
2“1May he kissH5401 me with the kissesH5390 of his mouthH6310! For your 2loveH1730 is betterH2896 thanH4480 wineH3196.3Your 3oilsH8081 have a pleasingH2896 fragranceH7381, Your 4nameH8034 is like 5purifiedH7385 oilH8081; ThereforeH5921H3651 the 67maidensH5959 loveH157 you.4DrawH4900 me afterH310 you and let us runH7323 together! The 8kingH4428 has broughtH935 me into his chambersH2315.” “9We will rejoiceH1523 in you and be gladH8055; We will 10extolH2142 your 11loveH1730 moreH4480 thanH4480 wineH3196. RightlyH4339 do they loveH157 you.”
5“12I am blackH7838 but 13lovelyH5000, O 14daughtersH1323 of JerusalemH3389, Like the 15tentsH168 of 16KedarH6938, Like the curtainsH3407 of SolomonH8010.6Do not stareH7200 at me because I am 17swarthyH7840, For the sunH8121 has burnedH7805 me. My 18mother’sH517 sonsH1121 were angryH2734 with me; They madeH7760 me 19caretakerH5201 of the vineyardsH3754, But I have not takenH5201 careH5201 of my own vineyardH3754.7TellH5046 me, O you 20whomH7945 my soulH5315 lovesH157, WhereH351 do you 21pastureH7462 your flock, WhereH351 do you make it 22lieH7257 downH7257 at noonH6672? For whyH4100 should I be like one who 23veilsH5844 herself BesideH5921 the flocksH5739 of your 24companionsH2270?”
8“25IfH518 you yourself do not knowH3045, 26Most beautifulH3303 among womenH802, GoH3318 forthH3318 on the trailH6119 of the flockH6629 And pastureH7462 your youngH1429 goatsH1429 By the tentsH4908 of the shepherdsH7462.
