Esther 9:1-6
1Now 1in the twelfthH8147H6240 monthH2320 (that is, the monthH2320 AdarH143), on 2the thirteenthH7969H6240 3dayH3117 4whenH834 the king’sH4428 commandH1697 and edictH1881 5were about to be executedH6213, on the dayH3117 whenH834 the enemiesH340 of the JewsH3064 hopedH7663 to gainH7980 the masteryH7980 overH7980 them, it was turnedH2015 to the contrary so that the JewsH3064 themselvesH1992 gainedH7980 the masteryH7980 overH7980 those who hatedH8130 them.
26The JewsH3064 assembledH6950 in their citiesH5892 throughout allH3605 the provincesH4082 of KingH4428 AhasuerusH325 to layH7971 handsH3027 on those who soughtH1245 their harmH7463; and noH3808 oneH376 could standH5975 beforeH6440 them, 7for the dreadH6343 of them had fallenH5307 on allH3605 the peoplesH5971.
3Even allH3605 the princesH8269 of the provincesH4082, 8the satrapsH323, the governorsH6346 and those who were doingH6213 the king’sH4428 businessH4399 9assistedH5375 the JewsH3064, becauseH3588 the dreadH6343 of MordecaiH4782 had fallenH5307 on them.
4IndeedH3588, MordecaiH4782 was greatH1419 in the king’sH4428 houseH1004, and his fameH8089 spreadH1980 throughout allH3605 the provincesH4082; for the manH376 MordecaiH4782 10becameH1980 greaterH1980 and greaterH1419.
5Thus 11the JewsH3064 struckH5221 allH3605 their enemiesH340 with 12the swordH2719, killingH2027 and destroyingH12; and they didH6213 whatH7522 they pleasedH7522 to those who hatedH8130 them.
6At the citadelH1002 in SusaH7800 the JewsH3064 killedH2026 and destroyedH6 fiveH2568 hundredH3967 menH376,
