Esther 7:4-10
for 1we have been soldH4376, I and my peopleH5971, to be destroyedH8045, 2to be killedH2026 and to be annihilatedH6. Now ifH432 we had only been soldH4376 as slavesH8198H5650, men and womenH8198, I would have remainedH2790 silentH2790, for the 3troubleH6862 would not be commensurateH7737 with the 4annoyanceH5143 to the kingH4428.”
Then KingH4428 AhasuerusH325 5askedH559 QueenH4436 EstherH635, “WhoH4310 is he, and whereH335 is he, 6whoH834 would presumeH4390H3820 to doH6213 thusH3651?”
EstherH635 saidH559, “7A foeH6862 and an enemyH340 is thisH2088 wickedH7451 HamanH2001!” Then HamanH2001 became terrifiedH1204 beforeH4480H6440 the kingH4428 and queenH4436.
The kingH4428 aroseH6965 8in his angerH2534 from 9drinkingH4960 wineH3196 and went into 10the palaceH1055 gardenH1593; but HamanH2001 stayedH5975 to begH1245 for his lifeH5315 from QueenH4436 EstherH635, for he sawH7200 that harmH7463 had been determinedH3615 againstH413 him by the kingH4428.
Now when the kingH4428 returnedH7725 from the palaceH1055 gardenH1593 into the 11placeH1004 whereH4960 they were drinkingH4960 wineH3196, HamanH2001 was fallingH5307 on 12the couchH4296 whereH834H5921 EstherH635 was. Then the kingH4428 saidH559, “Will he evenH1571 assaultH3533 the queenH4436 with me in the houseH1004?” As the wordH1697 wentH3318 out of the king’sH4428 mouthH6310, they coveredH2645 Haman’sH2001 faceH6440.
Then HarbonahH2726, oneH259 of the eunuchsH5631 who were beforeH6440 the kingH4428 saidH559, “BeholdH2009 indeedH1571, 13the gallowsH6086 standingH5975 at Haman’sH2001 houseH1004 fiftyH2572 cubitsH520 highH1364, whichH834 HamanH2001 madeH6213 for MordecaiH4782 14whoH834 spokeH1696 goodH2896 on behalfH5921 of the kingH4428!” And the kingH4428 saidH559, “HangH8518 him on it.”
So they hangedH8518 HamanH2001 on the 16gallowsH6086 whichH834 he had preparedH3559 for MordecaiH4782, 17and the king’sH4428 angerH2534 subsidedH7918.
