Song of Songs 5:8-16
8I 1adjure you, O daughters of Jerusalem, If you find my beloved, As to what you will tell him: For 2I am lovesick.”
9“34What kind of beloved is your beloved, O 5most beautiful among women? 6What kind of beloved is your beloved, That thus you adjure us?”
10“7My beloved is dazzling and 8ruddy, 910Outstanding among ten thousand.11His head is like gold, pure gold; His 11locks are like clusters of dates And black as a raven.12His 12eyes are like doves Beside streams of water, Bathed in milk, And 13reposed in their 14setting.13His cheeks are like a 15bed of balsam, Banks of sweet-scented herbs; His lips are 16lilies 17Dripping with liquid myrrh.14His hands are rods of gold Set with 18beryl; His abdomen is carved ivory Inlaid with 1920sapphires.15His legs are pillars of alabaster Set on pedestals of pure gold; His appearance is like 21Lebanon Choice as the 22cedars.16His 2324mouth is full of sweetness. And he is wholly 25desirable. This is my beloved and this is my friend, O daughters of Jerusalem.”
