Song of Songs 2:11-17
For behold, the winter is past, The rain is over and gone.12The flowers have already appeared in the land; The time has arrived for 1pruning the vines, And the voice of the 2turtledove has been heard in our land.13The 3fig tree has ripened its figs, And the 4vines in blossom have given forth their fragrance. Arise, my darling, my beautiful one, And come along!’”
“5O 6my dove, 7in the clefts of the 8rock, In the secret place of the steep 9pathway, Let me see your 10form, 11Let me hear your voice; For your voice is sweet, And your 12form is 13lovely.”
“1415Catch the foxes for us, The 16little foxes that are ruining the vineyards, While our 17vineyards are in blossom.”
“1819My beloved is mine, and I am his; He 20pastures his flock among the lilies.1721Until 22the cool of the day when the shadows flee away, Turn, my beloved, and be like a 23gazelle Or a young stag 24on the mountains of 25Bether.”
