Song of Songs 1:9-17

“1To me, 2my darling, you are like My 3mare among the chariots of Pharaoh.10Your 4cheeks are lovely with ornaments, Your neck with strings of 5beads.”

“6We will make for you ornaments of gold With beads of silver.”

“7While the king was at his 8table, My 9 10perfume gave forth its fragrance.13My beloved is to me a pouch of 11myrrh Which lies all night between my breasts.14My beloved is to me a cluster of 12henna blossoms In the vineyards of 13Engedi.”

“14 15 16How beautiful you are, my darling, 17How beautiful you are! Your 18eyes are like doves.”

“19 20How handsome you are, 21my beloved, And so pleasant! Indeed, our couch is luxuriant!17The beams of our houses are 22cedars, Our rafters, 23 24cypresses.
