Romans 6:13-23
13and do not go on 1presenting 2the members of your body to sin as 3instruments of unrighteousness; but 4present yourselves to God as those alive from the dead, and your members as 5instruments of righteousness to God. 14For 6sin shall not 7be master over you, for 8you are not under law but 9under grace.
15What then? 10Shall we sin because we are not under law but under grace? 11May it never be! 16Do you not 12know that when you present yourselves to someone as 13slaves for obedience, you are slaves of the one whom you obey, either of 14sin 15resulting in death, or of obedience 16resulting in righteousness? 17But 17thanks be to God that 18though you were slaves of sin, you became obedient from the heart to that 19form of teaching to which you were committed, 18and having been 20freed from sin, you became slaves of righteousness. 1921I am speaking in human terms because of the weakness of your flesh. For just 22as you presented your members as slaves to impurity and to lawlessness, 23resulting in further lawlessness, so now present your members as slaves to righteousness, 24resulting in sanctification.
20For 25when you were slaves of sin, you were free in regard to righteousness. 21Therefore what 2627benefit were you then 28deriving 29from the things of which you are now ashamed? For the outcome of those things is 30death. 22But now having been 31freed from sin and 32enslaved to God, you 33derive your 3435benefit, 36resulting in sanctification, and 37the outcome, eternal life. 23For the wages of 38sin is death, but the free gift of God is 39eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
