8For allכֻּלְּכֶ֜םku.le.KhemH3605of you have conspiredקְשַׁרְתֶּ֨םke.shar.TemH7194againstH5921me so that thereH369is noH369oneH369whodisclosesגֹּלֶ֤הgo.LehH1540to mewhen my sonבְּנִ֣יbe.NiH1121makesבִּכְרָת־bikh.rot-H3772a covenantwith the sonבֶּן־ben-H1121of Jesseיִשַׁ֔יyi.ShaiH3448,and thereH369is noneH369of youwho is sorryחֹלֶ֥הcho.LehH2470for me ordisclosesוְגֹלֶ֣הve.go.LehH1540to me that my sonבְּנִ֨יbe.NiH1121has stirredהֵקִים֩he.KimH6965up my servantעַבְדִּ֥י'av.DiH5650againstH5921me to lieH693in ambushH693, as it isthisהַזֶּֽה׃ סha.ZehH2088dayכַּיּ֥וֹםkai.YomH3117.”

9ThenDoegדֹּאֵ֣גdo.'EgH1673the Edomiteהָאֲדֹמִ֗יha.'a.do.MiH130,whoוְה֛וּאve.Hu'H1931wasstandingנִצָּ֥בni.TzavH5324by the servantsעַבְדֵֽי־'av.dei-H5650of Saulשָׁא֖וּלsha.'UlH7586,saidוַיֹּאמַ֑רvai.yo.MarH559, “I sawרָאִ֙יתִי֙ra.'I.tiH7200the sonבֶּן־ben-H1121of Jesseיִשַׁ֔יyi.ShaiH3448comingבָּ֣אba'H935to Nobנֹ֔בֶהNoehH5011, toAhimelechאֲחִימֶ֖לֶךְ'a.chi.Me.lekhH288the sonבֶּן־ben-H1121of Ahitubאֲחִטֽוּב׃'a.chi.TuvH285.

10He inquiredוַיִּשְׁאַל־vai.yish.'al-H7592of the Lordבַּֽיהוָ֔הba.Yah.wehH3068for him,gaveנָ֣תַןNa.tanH5414him provisionsוְצֵידָ֖הve.tzei.DahH6720, andgaveנָ֥תַןNa.tanH5414him the swordחֶ֛רֶבChe.revH2719of Goliathגָּלְיָ֥תgal.YatH1555the Philistineהַפְּלִשְׁתִּ֖יha.pe.lish.TiH6430.”

11Then the kingהַמֶּ֡לֶךְha.Me.lekhH4428sentוַיִּשְׁלַ֣חvai.yish.LachH7971someone to summonלִקְרֹא֩lik.Ro'H7121Ahimelechאֲחִימֶ֨לֶךְ'a.chi.Me.lekhH288the priestהַכֹּהֵ֗ןha.ko.HenH3548,the sonבֶּן־ben-H1121of Ahitubאֲחִיט֜וּב'a.chi.TuvH285,and allכָּל־kol-H3605his father’sאָבִ֛יו'a.VivH1householdבֵּ֥יתbeitH1004,the priestsהַכֹּהֲנִ֖יםha.ko.ha.NimH3548whoאֲשֶׁ֣ר'a.SherH834were in Nobבְּנֹ֑בbe.NoH5011;and allכֻלָּ֖םkhu.LamH3605of them cameוַיָּבֹ֥אוּvai.ya.Vo.'uH935to the kingהַמֶּֽלֶךְ׃ סha.Me.lekhH4428.

12Saulשָׁא֔וּלsha.'UlH7586saidוַיֹּ֣אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559, “Listenשְֽׁמַֽע־she.ma'-H8085nowנָ֖אna'H4994,sonבֶּן־ben-H1121of Ahitubאֲחִיט֑וּב'a.chi.TuvH285.” And heansweredוַיֹּ֖אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559, “HereH2009I am, my lordאֲדֹנִֽי׃'a.do.NiH113.”

13Saulשָׁא֔וּלsha.'UlH7586then saidוַיֹּ֤אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559to him, “Whyלָ֚מָּהLa.mahH4100have you and the sonוּבֶן־u.ven-H1121of Jesseיִשָׁ֑יyi.ShaiH3448conspiredקְשַׁרְתֶּ֣םke.shar.TemH7194againstעָלַ֔י'a.LaiH5921me, in that you have givenבְּתִתְּךָ֨be.ti.te.KhaH5414him breadלֶ֣חֶםLe.chemH3899and a swordוְחֶ֗רֶבve.Che.revH2719and have inquiredוְשָׁא֥וֹלve.sha.'olH7592of Godבֵּֽאלֹהִ֔יםbe.lo.HimH430for him, so that he would riseלָק֥וּםla.KumH6965up againstH413meby lyingH693in ambushH693as it isthisהַזֶּֽה׃ סha.ZehH2088dayכַּיּ֥וֹםkai.YomH3117?”
