11ThenSaulשָׁא֨וּלsha.'UlH7586sentוַיִּשְׁלַח֩vai.yish.LachH7971messengersמַלְאָכִ֜יםmal.'a.KhimH4397to David’sדָּוִד֙da.VidH1732houseבֵּ֤יתbeitH1004to watchלְשָׁמְר֔וֹle.sha.me.RoH8104him, in order to putH4191him to deathH4191in the morningבַּבֹּ֑קֶרba.Bo.kerH1242.But Michalמִיכַ֤לmi.KhalH4324,David’sלְדָוִ֗דle.da.VidH1732wifeאִשְׁתּוֹ֙'ish.ToH802,toldוַתַּגֵּ֣דva.ta.GedH5046him, sayingלֵאמֹ֔רle.MorH559, “Ifאִם־'im-H518you do not saveמְמַלֵּ֤טme.ma.LetH4422your lifeנַפְשְׁךָ֙naf.she.KhaH5315tonightהַלַּ֔יְלָהha.Lay.lahH3915,tomorrowמָחָ֖רma.CharH4279you will be putH4191to deathH4191.”

12So Michalמִיכַ֛לmi.KhalH4324letH3381Davidדָּוִ֖דda.VidH1732downוַתֹּ֧רֶדva.To.redH3381throughבְּעַ֣דbe.'AdH1157a windowהַחַלּ֑וֹןha.cha.LonH2474,and he wentוַיֵּ֥לֶךְvai.Ye.lekhH1980out and fledוַיִּבְרַ֖חvai.yiv.RachH1272and escapedוַיִּמָּלֵֽט׃vai.yi.ma.LetH4422.

13Michalמִיכַ֜לmi.KhalH4324tookוַתִּקַּ֨חva.ti.KachH3947thehouseholdH8655idolH8655and laidוַתָּ֙שֶׂם֙va.Ta.semH7760iton the bedהַמִּטָּ֔הha.mi.TahH4296,and putשָׂ֖מָהSa.mahH7760a quiltכְּבִ֣ירke.VirH3523of goats’הָֽעִזִּ֔יםha.'i.ZimH5795hairat its headמְרַֽאֲשֹׁתָ֑יוme.ra.'a.sho.TavH4763,and coveredוַתְּכַ֖סva.te.KhasH3680itwith clothesבַּבָּֽגֶד׃ סba.Ba.gedH899.

14When Saulשָׁא֛וּלsha.'UlH7586sentוַיִּשְׁלַ֥חvai.yish.LachH7971messengersמַלְאָכִ֖יםmal.'a.KhimH4397to takeלָקַ֣חַתla.Ka.chatH3947Davidדָּוִ֑דda.VidH1732,she saidוַתֹּ֖אמֶרva.To.merH559, “He is sickחֹלֶ֥הcho.LehH2470.”

15Then Saulשָׁאוּל֙sha.'UlH7586sentוַיִּשְׁלַ֤חvai.yish.LachH7971messengersהַמַּלְאָכִ֔יםha.mal.'a.KhimH4397to seeלִרְא֥וֹתlir.'otH7200Davidדָּוִ֖דda.VidH1732,sayingלֵאמֹ֑רle.MorH559, “Bringהַעֲל֨וּha.'a.LuH5927him up to me onhis bedבַמִּטָּ֛הva.mi.TahH4296,that I may putH4191him to deathH4191.”

16When the messengersהַמַּלְאָכִ֔יםha.mal.'a.KhimH4397enteredוַיָּבֹ֙אוּ֙vai.ya.Vo.'uH935,beholdוְהִנֵּ֥הve.hi.NehH2009, thehouseholdH8655idolH8655wason the bedהַמִּטָּ֑הha.mi.TahH4296with the quiltוּכְבִ֥ירu.khe.VirH3523of goats’הָעִזִּ֖יםha.'i.ZimH5795hairat its headמְרַאֲשֹׁתָֽיו׃me.ra.'a.sho.TavH4763.

17So Saulשָׁא֜וּלsha.'UlH7586saidוַיֹּ֨אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559to Michalמִיכַ֗לmi.KhalH4324, “Whyלָ֤מָּהLa.mahH4100have you deceivedרִמִּיתִ֔נִיri.mi.Ti.niH7411me likeH3602thisH3602and letH7971my enemyH340goוַתְּשַׁלְּחִ֥יva.te.sha.le.ChiH7971,so that he has escapedוַיִּמָּלֵ֑טvai.yi.ma.LetH4422?”And Michalמִיכַל֙mi.KhalH4324saidוַתֹּ֤אמֶרva.To.merH559to Saulשָׁא֔וּלsha.'UlH7586, “He saidאָמַ֥ר'a.MarH559to me, ‘LetH7971me goשַׁלְּחִ֖נִיsha.le.Chi.niH7971!Whyלָמָ֥הla.MahH4100should I putH4191you to deathH4191?’”

18Now Davidוְדָוִ֨דve.da.VidH1732fledבָּרַ֜חba.RachH1272and escapedוַיִּמָּלֵ֗טvai.yi.ma.LetH4422and cameוַיָּבֹ֤אvai.ya.Vo'H935to Samuelשְׁמוּאֵל֙she.mu.'ElH8050at Ramahהָרָמָ֔תָהha.ra.Ma.tahH7414,and toldוַיַּ֨גֶּד־vai.Ya.ged-H5046him allכָּל־kol-H3605that Saulשָׁא֑וּלsha.'UlH7586had doneעָֽשָׂה־'a.sah-H6213to him. And he and Samuelוּשְׁמוּאֵ֔לu.she.mu.'ElH8050wentוַיֵּ֤לֶךְvai.Ye.lekhH1980and stayedוַיֵּשְׁב֖וּvai.ye.she.VuH3427inNaiothבְּנָֽיוֹת׃be.noitH5121.

19It was toldוַיֻּגַּ֥דvai.yu.GadH5046Saulלְשָׁא֖וּלle.sha.'UlH7586,sayingלֵאמֹ֑רle.MorH559, “Beholdהִנֵּ֣הhi.NehH2009,Davidדָוִ֔דda.VidH1732is at Naiothבְּנָי֖וֹתbe.noitH5121in Ramahבָּרָמָֽה׃ba.ra.MahH7414.”

20ThenSaulשָׁא֣וּלsha.'UlH7586sentוַיִּשְׁלַ֨חvai.yish.LachH7971messengersמַלְאָכִים֮mal.'a.KhimH4397to takeלָקַ֣חַתla.Ka.chatH3947Davidדָּוִד֒da.VidH1732,but when they sawוַיַּ֗רְאvai.Yar'H7200the companyלַהֲקַ֤תla.ha.KatH3862of the prophetsהַנְּבִיאִים֙ha.ne.vi.'ImH5030prophesyingנִבְּאִ֔יםni.be.'ImH5012,with Samuelוּשְׁמוּאֵ֕לu.she.mu.'ElH8050standingעֹמֵ֥ד'o.MedH5975andpresidingנִצָּ֖בni.TzavH5324overH5921them, the Spiritר֣וּחַRu.achH7307of Godאֱלֹהִ֔ים'E.lo.HimH430cameוַתְּהִ֞יva.te.HiH1961upon the messengersמַלְאֲכֵ֤יmal.'a.KheiH4397of Saulשָׁאוּל֙sha.'UlH7586; andthey alsoגַּם־gam-H1571prophesiedוַיִּֽתְנַבְּא֖וּvai.yit.na.be.'UH5012.

21When it was toldוַיַּגִּ֣דוּvai.ya.Gi.duH5046Saulלְשָׁא֗וּלle.sha.'UlH7586,he sentוַיִּשְׁלַח֙vai.yish.LachH7971otherאֲחֵרִ֔ים'a.che.RimH312messengersמַלְאָכִ֣יםmal.'a.KhimH4397,and they alsoגַּם־gam-H1571prophesiedוַיִּֽתְנַבְּא֖וּvai.yit.na.be.'UH5012.So Saulשָׁא֗וּלsha.'UlH7586sentוַיִּשְׁלַח֙vai.yish.LachH7971messengersמַלְאָכִ֣יםmal.'a.KhimH4397againוַיֹּ֣סֶףvai.Yo.sefH3254the thirdשְׁלִשִׁ֔יםshe.li.ShimH7992timeH7992,and they alsoגַּם־gam-H1571prophesiedוַיִּֽתְנַבְּא֖וּvai.yit.na.be.'UH5012.

22Then he himselfה֜וּאhu'H1931wentוַיֵּ֨לֶךְvai.Ye.lekhH1980to Ramahהָרָמָ֗תָהha.ra.Ma.tahH7414and cameוַיָּבֹא֙vai.ya.Vo'H935as farעַד־'ad-H5704as the largeהַגָּדוֹל֙ha.ga.dOlH1419wellבּ֤וֹרBorH953that is in Secuבַּשֶּׂ֔כוּba.Se.khuH7906;and he askedוַיִּשְׁאַ֣לvai.yish.'AlH7592and saidוַיֹּ֔אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559, “Whereאֵיפֹ֥ה'ei.FohH375are Samuelשְׁמוּאֵ֖לshe.mu.'ElH8050and Davidוְדָוִ֑דve.da.VidH1732?” And someonesaidוַיֹּ֕אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559, “Beholdהִנֵּ֖הhi.NehH2009,they are at Naiothבְּנָי֥וֹתbe.noitH5121in Ramahבָּרָמָֽה׃ba.ra.MahH7414.”

23Heproceededוַיֵּ֣לֶךְvai.Ye.lekhH1980thereשָׁ֔םShamH8033to Naiothנָי֖וֹתnoitH5121in Ramahבָּרָמָ֑הba.ra.MahH7414; andthe Spiritר֣וּחַRu.achH7307of Godאֱלֹהִ֗ים'E.lo.HimH430cameוַתְּהִי֩va.te.HiH1961upon him alsoגַּם־gam-H1571,so that he wentוַיֵּ֤לֶךְvai.Ye.lekhH1980along prophesyingוַיִּתְנַבֵּ֔אvai.yit.na.Be'H5012continuallyהָלוֹךְ֙ha.loKhH1980untilעַד־'ad-H5704he cameבֹּא֖וֹbo.'OH935to Naiothבְּנָי֥וֹתbe.noitH5121in Ramahבָּרָמָֽה׃ba.ra.MahH7414.

24He alsoגַּם־gam-H1571strippedH6584offH6584his clothesבְּגָדָ֗יוbe.ga.DavH899,and he tooגַם־gam-H1571prophesiedוַיִּתְנַבֵּ֤אvai.yit.na.Be'H5012beforeלִפְנֵ֣יlif.NeiH6440Samuelשְׁמוּאֵ֔לshe.mu.'ElH8050andlayH5307downוַיִּפֹּ֣לvai.yi.PolH5307nakedעָרֹ֔ם'a.RomH6174allכָּל־kol-H3605that dayהַיּ֥וֹםhai.YomH3117and allוְכָל־ve.kholH3605that nightהַלָּ֑יְלָהha.La.ye.lahH3915.Thereforeעַל־ כֵּן֙'al- kenH5921 H3651they sayיֹֽאמְר֔וּyo.me.RuH559, “Is Saulשָׁא֖וּלsha.'UlH7586alsoהֲגַ֥םha.GamH1571among the prophetsבַּנְּבִיאִֽם׃ פba.ne.vi.'ImH5030?”
