2“Inasmuchיַ֗עַן אֲשֶׁ֤רYa.'an 'a.SherH3282 H834as Iexaltedהֲרִימֹתִ֙יךָ֙ha.ri.mo.Ti.khaH7311you from the dustהֶ֣עָפָ֔רhe.'a.FarH6083and madeוָאֶתֶּנְךָ֣va.'e.ten.KhaH5414you leaderנָגִ֔ידna.GidH5057overעַ֖ל'alH5921My peopleעַמִּ֣י'a.MiH5971Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֑לYis.ra.'ElH3478, andyou have walkedוַתֵּ֣לֶךְ׀va.Te.lekhH1980in the wayבְּדֶ֣רֶךְbe.De.rekhH1870of Jeroboamיָרָבְעָ֗םya.ra.ve.'AmH3379and have made My peopleעַמִּ֣י'a.MiH5971Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֔לYis.ra.'ElH3478sinוַֽתַּחֲטִא֙va.ta.cha.Ti'H2398,provokingלְהַכְעִיסֵ֖נִיle.hakh.'i.Se.niH3707Me to angerH3707with their sinsבְּחַטֹּאתָֽם׃be.cha.to.TamH2403,

3beholdH2009,I will consumeמַבְעִ֛ירmav.'IrH1197Baashaבַעְשָׁ֖אva'.Sha'H1201and his houseבֵית֑וֹvei.ToH1004, andI will makeוְנָֽתַתִּי֙ve.na.ta.TiH5414your houseבֵּ֣יתְךָ֔bei.te.khaH1004like the houseכְּבֵ֖יתke.VeitH1004of Jeroboamיָרָבְעָ֥םya.ra.ve.'AmH3379the sonבֶּן־ben-H1121of Nebatנְבָֽט׃ne.VatH5028.

4Anyone of Baashaלְבַעְשָׁא֙le.va'.Sha'H1201who diesהַמֵּ֤תha.MetH4191in the cityבָּעִ֔ירba.'IrH5892the dogsהַכְּלָבִ֑יםha.ke.la.VimH3611will eatיֹֽאכְל֖וּyo.khe.LuH398,and anyone of his who diesוְהַמֵּ֥תve.ha.MetH4191in the fieldבַּשָּׂדֶ֔הba.sa.DehH7704the birdsע֥וֹףofH5775of the heavensהַשָּׁמָֽיִם׃ha.sha.Ma.yimH8064will eatיֹאכְל֖וּyo.khe.LuH398.”

6And Baashaבַּעְשָׁא֙ba'.Sha'H1201sleptוַיִּשְׁכַּ֤בvai.yish.KavH7901with his fathersאֲבֹתָ֔יו'a.vo.TavH1and was buriedוַיִּקָּבֵ֖רvai.yi.ka.VerH6912inTirzahבְּתִרְצָ֑הbe.tir.TzahH8656,and Elahאֵלָ֥ה'e.LahH425his sonבְנ֖וֹve.NoH1121becameH4427kingוַיִּמְלֹ֛ךְvai.yim.LokhH4427in his placeתַּחְתָּֽיו׃tach.TavH8478.

9His servantעַבְדּ֣וֹav.DoH5650Zimriזִמְרִ֔יzim.RiH2174,commanderשַׂ֖רsarH8269of halfמַחֲצִ֣יתma.cha.TzitH4276his chariotsהָרָ֑כֶבha.Ra.khevH7393,conspiredוַיִּקְשֹׁ֤רvai.yik.ShorH7194againstעָלָיו֙'a.LavH5921him. Now he wasat Tirzahבְתִרְצָה֙ve.tir.TzahH8656drinkingשֹׁתֶ֣הsho.TehH8354himself drunkשִׁכּ֔וֹרshi.KorH7910in the houseבֵּ֣יתbeitH1004of Arzaאַרְצָ֔א'ar.Tza'H777,whoאֲשֶׁ֥ר'a.SherH834wasoverעַל־'al-H5921the householdהַבַּ֖יִתha.Ba.yitH1004at Tirzahבְּתִרְצָֽה׃be.tir.TzahH8656.

10Then Zimriזִמְרִי֙zim.RiH2174wentוַיָּבֹ֤אvai.ya.Vo'H935in and struckוַיַּכֵּ֣הוּvai.ya.Ke.huH5221him and putH4191him to deathH4191in the twenty-seventhעֶשְׂרִ֣ים וָשֶׁ֔בַע'es.Rim va.She.va'H6242 H7651yearבִּשְׁנַת֙bish.NatH8141of Asaלְאָסָ֖אle.'a.Sa'H609kingמֶ֣לֶךְMe.lekhH4428of Judahיְהוּדָ֑הye.hu.DahH3063,and becameH4427kingוַיִּמְלֹ֖ךְvai.yim.LokhH4427in his placeתַּחְתָּֽיו׃tach.TavH8478.

11It cameוַיְהִ֨יvay.HiH1961about when he becameH4427kingבְמָלְכ֜וֹve.ma.le.KhoH4427,as soon as he satכְּשִׁבְתּ֣וֹke.shiv.ToH3427on his throneכִּסְא֗וֹkis.'OH3678, that hekilledהִכָּה֙hi.KahH5221allכָּל־kol-H3605the householdבֵּ֣יתbeitH1004of Baashaבַּעְשָׁ֔אba'.Sha'H1201;he did not leaveהִשְׁאִ֥ירhish.'IrH7604a single maleמַשְׁתִּ֣ין בְּקִ֑ירmash.Tin be.KirH8366 H7023, neither of hisrelativesוְגֹאֲלָ֖יוve.go.'a.LavH1350nor of his friendsוְרֵעֵֽהוּ׃ve.re.'E.huH7453.

12Thus Zimriזִמְרִ֔יzim.RiH2174destroyedוַיַּשְׁמֵ֣דvai.yash.MedH8045allכָּל־kol-H3605the householdבֵּ֣יתbeitH1004of Baashaבַּעְשָׁ֑אba'.Sha'H1201,according to the wordכִּדְבַ֤רkid.VarH1697of the Lordיְהוָה֙Yah.wehH3068,whichאֲשֶׁ֣ר'a.SherH834He spokeדִּבֶּ֣רdi.BerH1696againstאֶל־'el-H413Baashaבַּעְשָׁ֔אba'.Sha'H1201throughבְּיַ֖דbe.YadH3027Jehuיֵה֥וּאye.Hu'H3058the prophetהַנָּבִֽיא׃ha.na.Vi'H5030,
