Isaiah 14:25-32
25to 1break Assyria in My land, and I will trample him on My mountains. Then his 2yoke will be removed from them and his burden removed from their shoulder. 26This is the 3plan 4devised against the whole earth; and this is the 5hand that is stretched out against all the nations. 27For 6the Lord of hosts has planned, and who can frustrate it? And as for His stretched-out hand, who can turn it back?”
28In the 7year that King Ahaz died this 89oracle came:29“Do not rejoice, O 10Philistia, all of you, Because the rod that 11struck you is broken; For from the serpent’s root a 12viper will come out, And its fruit will be a 13flying serpent.3014Those who are most 15helpless will eat, And the needy will lie down in security; I will 16destroy your root with 17famine, And it will kill off your survivors.31Wail, O 18gate; cry, O city; 19Melt away, O 20Philistia, all of you; For smoke comes from the 21north, And 22there is no straggler in his ranks.32How then will one answer the 23messengers of the nation? That 24the Lord has founded Zion, And 25the afflicted of His people will seek refuge in it.”
