1 Timothy 1:5-11
5But the goal of our 12instruction is love 3from a pure heart and a 4good conscience and a sincere 5faith. 6For some men, straying from these things, have turned aside to 6fruitless discussion, 77wanting to be 8teachers of the Law, even though they do not understand either what they are saying or the matters about which they make confident assertions.
8But we know that 9the Law is good, if one uses it lawfully, 9realizing the fact that 10law is not made for a righteous person, but for those who are lawless and 11rebellious, for the 12ungodly and sinners, for the unholy and 13profane, for those who kill their fathers or mothers, for murderers 1014and 1516immoral men 17and 18homosexuals 19and 20kidnappers 21and 22liars 23and 24perjurers, and whatever else is contrary to 25sound teaching, 11according to 26the glorious gospel of 27the blessed God, with which I have been 28entrusted.
