1 Thessalonians 4:13-18
13But 1we do not want you to be uninformed, brethren, about those who 2are asleep, so that you will not grieve as do 3the rest who have 4no hope.
14For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, 5even so God will bring with Him 6those who have fallen asleep 7in Jesus.
15For this we say to you 8by the word of the Lord, that 9we who are alive 10and remain until 11the coming of the Lord, will not precede 12those who have fallen asleep.
16For the Lord 13Himself 14will descend from heaven with a 1516shout, with the voice of 17the archangel and with the 18trumpet of God, and 19the dead in Christ will rise first.
17Then 20we who are alive 21and remain will be 22caught up together with them 23in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we shall always 24be with the Lord.
18Therefore comfort one another with these words.
