1 Peter 5:7-14

7casting all your 1anxiety on Him, because He cares for you. 8 2Be of sober spirit, 3be on the alert. Your adversary, 4the devil, prowls around like a roaring 5lion, seeking someone to devour. 9 6 7But resist him, 8firm in your faith, knowing that 9the same experiences of suffering are being accomplished by your 10brethren who are in the world. 10After you have suffered 11for a little while, the 12God of all grace, who 13called you to His 14eternal glory in Christ, will Himself 15perfect, 16confirm, strengthen and establish you. 11 17To Him be dominion forever and ever. Amen.

12Through 18Silvanus, our faithful brother 19(for so I regard him), 20I have written to you briefly, exhorting and testifying that this is 21the true grace of God. 22Stand firm in it! 13She who is in Babylon, chosen together with you, sends you greetings, and so does my son, 23Mark. 14 24Greet one another with a kiss of love.
