1 Peter 1:18-25
18knowing that you were not 12redeemed with perishable things like silver or gold from your 3futile way of life inherited from your forefathers, 19but with precious 4blood, as of a 5lamb unblemished and spotless, the blood of Christ. 20For He was 6foreknown before 7the foundation of the world, but has 8appeared 9in these last times 10for the sake of you 21who through Him are 11believers in God, who raised Him from the dead and 12gave Him glory, so that your faith and 13hope are in God.
22Since you have 14in obedience to the truth 15purified your souls for a 1617sincere love of the brethren, fervently love one another from 18the heart, 23for you have been 19born again 20not of seed which is perishable but imperishable, that is, through the living and enduring 21word of God. 24For, “22All flesh is like grass, And all its glory like the flower of grass. The grass withers, And the flower falls off,2523But the word of the Lord endures forever.” And this is 24the word which was 25preached to you.
