2Who raised upהֵעִיר֙he.'IrH5782the righteousצֶ֖דֶקTze.dekH6664manfrom the eastמִמִּזְרָ֔חmi.miz.RachH4217,calledיִקְרָאֵ֣הוּyik.ra.'E.huH7121him to his footלְרַגְל֑וֹle.rag.LoH7272,gaveיִתֵּ֨ןyi.TenH5414the nationsגּוֹיִם֙go.YimH1471beforeלְפָנָ֤יוle.fa.NavH6440him, and made himruleיַ֔רְדְּYardH7287over kingsוּמְלָכִ֣יםu.me.la.KhimH4428?he gaveיִתֵּ֤ןyi.TenH5414themas the dustכֶּֽעָפָר֙ke.'a.FarH6083to his swordחַרְבּ֔וֹchar.BoH2719, andas drivenנִדָּ֖ףni.DafH5086stubbleכְּקַ֥שׁke.KashH7179to his bowקַשְׁתּֽוֹ׃kash.ToH7198.

3He pursuedיִרְדְּפֵ֖םyir.de.FemH7291them, andpassedיַעֲב֣וֹרya.'a.VorH5674safelyשָׁל֑וֹםsha.LomH7965; evenby the wayאֹ֥רַח'O.rachH734thathe had not goneיָבֽוֹא׃ya.Vo'H935with his feetבְּרַגְלָ֖יוbe.rag.LavH7272.

4Who hath wroughtפָעַ֣לfa.'AlH6466and doneוְעָשָׂ֔הve.'a.SahH6213it,callingקֹרֵ֥אko.Re'H7121the generationsהַדֹּר֖וֹתha.do.RotH1755from the beginningמֵרֹ֑אשׁme.RoshH7218?I the Lordיְהוָה֙Yah.wehH3068,the firstרִאשׁ֔וֹןri.ShonH7223,and with the lastאַחֲרֹנִ֖ים'a.cha.ro.NimH314; I am he.

5The islesאִיִּים֙'i.YimH339sawרָא֤וּra.'UH7200it,and fearedוְיִירָ֔אוּve.yi.Ra.'uH3372;the endsקְצ֥וֹתke.TzotH7098of the earthהָאָ֖רֶץha.'A.retzH776were afraidיֶחֱרָ֑דוּye.che.Ra.duH2729,drew nearקָרְב֖וּka.re.VuH7126,and cameוַיֶּאֱתָיֽוּן׃vai.ye.'e.ta.YunH857.

6They helpedיַעְזֹ֑רוּya'.Zo.ruH5826every oneאִ֥ישׁ'ishH376his neighbourרֵעֵ֖הוּre.'E.huH7453; and every onesaidיֹאמַ֥רyo.MarH559to his brotherוּלְאָחִ֖יוu.le.'a.ChivH251,Be of good courageחֲזָֽק׃cha.ZakH2388.

7So the carpenterחָרָשׁ֙cha.RashH2796encouragedוַיְחַזֵּ֤קvay.cha.ZekH2388the goldsmithצֹרֵ֔ףtzo.RefH6884, andhe that smoothethמַחֲלִ֥יקma.cha.LikH2505withthe hammerפַּטִּ֖ישׁpa.TishH6360him that smoteה֣וֹלֶםHo.lemH1986the anvilפָּ֑עַםPa.'amH6471,sayingאֹמֵ֤ר'o.MerH559, It isreadyט֣וֹבTovH2896for the soderingלַדֶּ֙בֶק֙la.De.vekH1694:and he fastenedוַיְחַזְּקֵ֥הוּvay.cha.ze.Ke.huH2388it with nailsבְמַסְמְרִ֖יםve.mas.me.RimH4548, thatit should not be movedיִמּֽוֹט׃ סyi.MotH4131.

8But thou, Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֣לYis.ra.'ElH3478, artmy servantעַבְדִּ֔י'av.DiH5650,Jacobיַעֲקֹ֖בya.'a.KoH3290whom I have chosenבְּחַרְתִּ֑יךָbe.char.Ti.khaH977,the seedזֶ֖רַעZe.ra'H2233of Abrahamאַבְרָהָ֥ם'av.ra.HamH85my friendאֹהֲבִֽי׃'o.ha.ViH157.

9Thouwhom I have takenהֶחֱזַקְתִּ֙יךָ֙he.che.zak.Ti.chaH2388from the endsמִקְצ֣וֹתmik.TzotH7098of the earthהָאָ֔רֶץha.'A.retzH776,and calledקְרָאתִ֑יךָke.ra.Ti.chaH7121thee from the chief menוּמֵאֲצִילֶ֖יהָu.me.'a.tzi.Lei.haH678thereof, and saidוָאֹ֤מַרva.'O.marH559unto thee, Thou artmy servantעַבְדִּי־'av.di-H5650;I have chosenבְּחַרְתִּ֖יךָbe.char.Ti.khaH977thee, and not cast thee awayמְאַסְתִּֽיךָ׃me.'as.Ti.khaH3988.

10Fearתִּירָא֙ti.Ra'H3372thou not; for I amwith thee: be not dismayedתִּשְׁתָּ֖עtish.Ta'H8159; for I amthy Godאֱלֹהֶ֑יךָ'e.lo.Hei.khaH430:I will strengthenאִמַּצְתִּ֙יךָ֙'i.matz.Ti.khaH553thee; yea, I will helpעֲזַרְתִּ֔יךָ'a.zar.Ti.khaH5826thee; yea, I will upholdתְּמַכְתִּ֖יךָte.makh.Ti.khaH8551thee with the right handבִּימִ֥יןbi.MinH3225of my righteousnessצִדְקִֽי׃tzid.KiH6664.

11Behold, all they that were incensedהַנֶּחֱרִ֣יםha.ne.che.RimH2734against thee shall be ashamedיֵבֹ֙שׁוּ֙ye.Vo.shuH954and confoundedוְיִכָּ֣לְמ֔וּve.yi.Kal.MuH3637:they shall be as nothing; and theyאַנְשֵׁ֥י'an.SheiH582that striveרִיבֶֽךָ׃ri.Ve.khaH7379with thee shall perishוְיֹאבְד֖וּve.yoe.DuH6.

12Thou shalt seekתְּבַקְשֵׁם֙te.vak.ShemH1245them, and shalt not findתִמְצָאֵ֔םtim.tza.'EmH4672them, eventhemH582that contendedמַצֻּתֶ֑ךָma.tzu.Te.khaH4695with thee: they that warמִלְחַמְתֶּֽךָ׃mil.cham.Te.khaH4421against thee shall be as nothing, and as a thing of noughtוּכְאֶ֖פֶסu.khe.'E.fesH657.

13For I the Lordיְהוָ֥הYah.wehH3068thy Godאֱלֹהֶ֖יךָ'e.lo.Hei.khaH430will holdמַחֲזִ֣יקma.cha.ZikH2388thy right handיְמִינֶ֑ךָye.mi.Ne.khaH3225,sayingהָאֹמֵ֥רha.'o.MerH559unto thee, Fearתִּירָ֖אti.Ra'H3372not; I will helpעֲזַרְתִּֽיךָ׃ ס'a.zar.Ti.khaH5826thee.

14Fearתִּֽירְאִי֙ti.re.'IH3372not, thou wormתּוֹלַ֣עַתto.La.'atH8438Jacobיַֽעֲקֹ֔בya.'a.KoH3290, andye menמְתֵ֖יme.TeiH4962of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֑לYis.ra.'ElH3478;I will helpעֲזַרְתִּיךְ֙'a.zar.tiKhH5826thee, saithנְאֻם־ne.'um-H5002the Lordיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068,and thy redeemerוְגֹאֲלֵ֖ךְve.go.'a.LekhH1350,the Holy Oneקְד֥וֹשׁke.Do.oshH6918of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃Yis.ra.'ElH3478.

15Behold, I will makeשַׂמְתִּ֗יךְsam.TikhH7760thee a newחָדָ֔שׁcha.DashH2319sharpחָר֣וּץcha.RutzH2742threshingלְמוֹרַג֙le.mo.RagH4173instrument havingבַּ֖עַלBa.'alH1167teethפִּֽיפִיּ֑וֹתpi.fi.YotH6374:thou shalt threshתָּד֤וּשׁta.DushH1758the mountainsהָרִים֙ha.RimH2022, and beat themsmallוְתָדֹ֔קve.ta.DokH1854,and shalt makeתָּשִֽׂים׃ta.SimH7760the hillsוּגְבָע֖וֹתu.ge.va.'otH1389as chaffכַּמֹּ֥ץka.MotzH4671.

16Thou shalt fanתִּזְרֵם֙tiz.RemH2219them, and the windוְר֣וּחַve.Ru.achH7307shall carry them awayתִּשָּׂאֵ֔םti.sa.'EmH5375,and the whirlwindוּסְעָרָ֖הu.se.'a.RahH5591shall scatterתָּפִ֣יץta.FitzH6327them: and thou shalt rejoiceתָּגִ֣ילta.GilH1523in the Lordבַּֽיהוָ֔הba.Yah.wehH3068, andshalt gloryתִּתְהַלָּֽל׃ פtit.ha.LalH1984in the Holy Oneבִּקְד֥וֹשׁbik.Do.oshH6918of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֖לYis.ra.'ElH3478.

17Whenthe poorהָעֲנִיִּ֨יםha.'a.ni.YimH6041and needyוְהָאֶבְיוֹנִ֜יםve.ha.'ev.yo.NimH34seekמְבַקְשִׁ֥יםme.vak.ShimH1245waterמַ֙יִם֙ma.yimH4325, and there is none, andtheir tongueלְשׁוֹנָ֖םle.sho.NamH3956failethנָשָׁ֑תָּהna.Sha.tahH5405for thirstבַּצָּמָ֣אba.tza.Ma'H6772,I the Lordיְהוָה֙Yah.wehH3068will hearאֶעֱנֵ֔ם'e.'e.NemH6030them, Ithe Godאֱלֹהֵ֥י'e.lo.HeiH430of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֖לYis.ra.'ElH3478will not forsakeאֶעֶזְבֵֽם׃'e.'ez.VemH5800them.

18I will openאֶפְתַּ֤ח'ef.TachH6605riversנְהָר֔וֹתne.ha.RotH5104in high placesשְׁפָיִים֙she.fa.YimH8205,and fountainsמַעְיָנ֑וֹתma'.ya.NotH4599in the midstוּבְת֥וֹךְu.ve.TokhH8432of the valleysבְּקָע֖וֹתbe.ka.'otH1237:I will makeאָשִׂ֤ים'a.SimH7760the wildernessמִדְבָּר֙mid.BarH4057a poolלַאֲגַם־la.'a.gam-H98of waterמַ֔יִםMa.yimH4325,and the dryצִיָּ֖הtzi.YahH6723landוְאֶ֥רֶץve.'E.retzH776springsלְמוֹצָ֥אֵיle.mo.Tza.'eiH4161of waterמָֽיִם׃Ma.yimH4325.

19I will plantאֶתֵּ֤ן'e.TenH5414in the wildernessבַּמִּדְבָּר֙ba.mid.BarH4057the cedarאֶ֣רֶז'E.rezH730,the shittah treeשִׁטָּ֔הshi.TahH7848,and the myrtleוַהֲדַ֖סva.ha.DasH1918,and the oilשָׁ֑מֶןSha.menH8081treeוְעֵ֣ץve.'EtzH6086;I will setאָשִׂ֣ים'a.SimH7760in the desertבָּעֲרָבָ֗הba.'a.ra.VahH6160the fir treeבְּר֛וֹשׁbe.Ro.oshH1265, andthe pineתִּדְהָ֥רtid.HarH8410,and the box treeוּתְאַשּׁ֖וּרu.te.'a.ShurH8391togetherיַחְדָּֽו׃yach.DavH3162:
