11And it came to pass in those daysבַּיָּמִ֣יםbai.ya.MimH3117,when Mosesמֹשֶׁה֙mo.ShehH4872was grownוַיִּגְדַּ֤לvai.yig.DalH1431,that he went outוַיֵּצֵ֣אvai.ye.Tze'H3318unto his brethrenאֶחָ֔יו'e.ChavH251,and lookedוַיַּ֖רְאvai.Yar'H7200on their burdensבְּסִבְלֹתָ֑םbe.siv.lo.TamH5450:and he spiedוַיַּרְא֙vai.yaR'H7200an Egyptianמִצְרִ֔יmitz.RiH376 H4713smitingמַכֶּ֥הma.KehH5221an Hebrewעִבְרִ֖י'iv.RiH5680,one of his brethrenמֵאֶחָֽיו׃me.'e.ChavH251.

12And he lookedוַיִּ֤פֶןvai.Yi.fenH6437this wayכֹּה֙kohH3541and that wayוָכֹ֔הva.KhohH3541,and when he sawוַיַּ֖רְאvai.Yar'H7200that there wasno manאִ֑ישׁ'IshH376,he slewוַיַּךְ֙vai.yaKhH5221the Egyptianהַמִּצְרִ֔יha.mitz.RiH4713,and hidוַֽיִּטְמְנֵ֖הוּvai.yit.me.Ne.huH2934him in the sandבַּחֽוֹל׃ba.CholH2344.

13And when he went outוַיֵּצֵא֙vai.ye.Tze'H3318the secondהַשֵּׁנִ֔יha.she.NiH8145dayבַּיּ֣וֹםbai.YomH3117,behold, twoשְׁנֵֽי־she.nei-H8147menאֲנָשִׁ֥ים'a.na.ShimH582of the Hebrewsעִבְרִ֖ים'iv.RimH5680stroveנִצִּ֑יםni.TzimH5327together: and he saidוַיֹּ֙אמֶר֙vai.Yo.merH559to him that did the wrongלָֽרָשָׁ֔עla.ra.Sha'H7563,Wherefore smitestתַכֶּ֖הta.KehH5221thou thy fellowרֵעֶֽךָ׃re.'E.khaH7453?

14And he saidוַ֠יֹּאמֶרVai.yo.merH559,Who madeשָֽׂמְךָ֞sa.me.KhaH7760theeלְאִ֨ישׁle.'IshH376a princeשַׂ֤רsarH8269and a judgeוְשֹׁפֵט֙ve.sho.FetH8199over us? intendestאֹמֵ֔ר'o.MerH559thou to killהַלְהָרְגֵ֙נִי֙hal.ha.re.Ge.niH2026me, as thou killedstהָרַ֖גְתָּha.Rag.taH2026the Egyptianהַמִּצְרִ֑יha.mitz.RiH4713?And Mosesמֹשֶׁה֙mo.ShehH4872fearedוַיִּירָ֤אvai.yi.Ra'H3372,and saidוַיֹּאמַ֔רvai.yo.MarH559,Surelyאָכֵ֖ן'a.KhenH403this thingהַדָּבָֽר׃ha.da.VarH1697is knownנוֹדַ֥עno.Da'H3045.

15Now when Pharaohפַּרְעֹה֙par.'OhH6547heardוַיִּשְׁמַ֤עvai.yish.Ma'H8085this thingהַדָּבָ֣רha.da.VarH1697,he soughtוַיְבַקֵּ֖שׁvay.va.KeshH1245to slayלַהֲרֹ֣גla.ha.RogH2026Mosesמֹשֶׁ֑הmo.ShehH4872.But Mosesמֹשֶׁה֙mo.ShehH4872fledוַיִּבְרַ֤חvai.yiv.RachH1272from the faceמִפְּנֵ֣יmi.pe.NeiH6440of Pharaohפַרְעֹ֔הfar.'OhH6547,and dweltוַיֵּ֥שֶׁבvai.Ye.shevH3427in the landבְּאֶֽרֶץ־be.'e.retz-H776of Midianמִדְיָ֖ןmid.YanH4080:and he sat downוַיֵּ֥שֶׁבvai.Ye.shevH3427by a wellהַבְּאֵֽר׃ha.be.'ErH875.

16Now the priestוּלְכֹהֵ֥ןu.le.kho.HenH3548of Midianמִדְיָ֖ןmid.YanH4080had sevenשֶׁ֣בַעShe.va'H7651daughtersבָּנ֑וֹתba.NotH1323:and they cameוַתָּבֹ֣אנָהva.ta.Vo.nahH935and drewוַתִּדְלֶ֗נָהva.tid.Le.nahH1802water,and filledוַתְּמַלֶּ֙אנָה֙va.te.ma.Le.nahH4390the troughsהָ֣רְהָטִ֔יםha.re.ha.TimH7298to waterלְהַשְׁק֖וֹתle.hash.KotH8248their father’sאֲבִיהֶֽן׃'a.vi.HenH1flockצֹ֥אןtzonH6629.

17And the shepherdsהָרֹעִ֖יםha.ro.'ImH7462cameוַיָּבֹ֥אוּvai.ya.Vo.'uH935and drove them awayוַיְגָרְשׁ֑וּםvay.ga.re.ShumH1644:but Mosesמֹשֶׁה֙mo.ShehH4872stood upוַיָּ֤קָםvai.Ya.komH6965and helpedוַיּ֣וֹשִׁעָ֔ןvai.Yo.o.shi.'AnH3467them, and wateredוַיַּ֖שְׁקְvai.YashkH8248their flockצֹאנָֽם׃tzo.NamH6629.

18And when they cameוַתָּבֹ֕אנָהva.ta.Vo.nahH935to Reuelרְעוּאֵ֖לre.'u.'ElH7467their fatherאֲבִיהֶ֑ן'a.vi.HenH1,he saidוַיֹּ֕אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559,Howמַדּ֛וּעַma.Du.a'H4069is it thatye are comeבֹּ֖אbo'H935so soonמִהַרְתֶּ֥ןmi.har.TenH4116to dayהַיּֽוֹם׃hai.YomH3117?

19And they saidוַתֹּאמַ֕רְןָva.to.Mar.naH559,An Egyptianאִ֣ישׁ מִצְרִ֔י'ish mitz.RiH376 H4713deliveredהִצִּילָ֖נוּhi.tzi.La.nuH5337us out of the handמִיַּ֣דmi.YadH3027of the shepherdsהָרֹעִ֑יםha.ro.'ImH7462,and also drewדָּלֹ֤הda.LohH1802waterenoughדָלָה֙da.LahH1802for us, and wateredוַיַּ֖שְׁקְvai.YashkH8248the flockהַצֹּֽאן׃ha.TzonH6629.

20And he saidוַיֹּ֥אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559unto his daughtersבְּנֹתָ֖יוbe.no.TavH1323, And where is he? why is it thatye have leftעֲזַבְתֶּ֣ן'a.zav.TenH5800the manהָאִ֔ישׁha.'IshH376?callקִרְאֶ֥ןkir.'EnH7121him, that he may eatוְיֹ֥אכַלve.Yo.khalH398breadלָֽחֶם׃La.chemH3899.

21And Mosesמֹשֶׁ֖הmo.ShehH4872was contentוַיּ֥וֹאֶלvai.Yo.'elH2974to dwellלָשֶׁ֣בֶתla.She.vetH3427with the manהָאִ֑ישׁha.'IshH376:and he gaveוַיִּתֵּ֛ןvai.yi.TenH5414Mosesלְמֹשֶֽׁה׃le.mo.ShehH4872Zipporahצִפֹּרָ֥הtzi.po.RahH6855his daughterבִתּ֖וֹvi.ToH1323.

22And she bareוַתֵּ֣לֶדva.Te.ledH3205hima sonבֵּ֔ןBenH1121,and he calledוַיִּקְרָ֥אvai.yik.Ra'H7121his nameשְׁמ֖וֹshe.MoH8034Gershomגֵּרְשֹׁ֑םge.re.ShomH1647:for he saidאָמַ֔ר'a.MarH559,I have been a strangerגֵּ֣רgerH1616in a strangeנָכְרִיָּֽה׃ פna.khe.ri.YahH5237landבְּאֶ֖רֶץbe.'E.retzH776.

23And it came to pass in processהָֽרַבִּ֜ים הָהֵ֗םha.ra.Bim ha.HemH7227 H1992of timeבַיָּמִ֨יםvai.ya.MimH3117,that the kingמֶ֣לֶךְMe.lekhH4428of Egyptמִצְרַ֔יִםmitz.Ra.yimH4714diedוַיָּ֙מָת֙vai.Ya.motH4191:and the childrenבְנֵֽי־ve.nei-H1121of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֛לYis.ra.'ElH3478sighedוַיֵּאָנְח֧וּvai.ye.'a.ne.ChuH584by reason ofH4480the bondageהָעֲבֹדָ֖הha.'a.vo.DahH5656,and they criedוַיִּזְעָ֑קוּvai.yiz.'A.kuH2199,and their cryשַׁוְעָתָ֛םshav.'a.TamH7775came upוַתַּ֧עַלva.Ta.'alH5927unto Godהָאֱלֹהִ֖יםha.'E.lo.HimH430by reason of the bondageהָעֲבֹדָֽה׃ha.'a.vo.DahH5656.

24And Godאֱלֹהִ֖ים'E.lo.HimH430heardוַיִּשְׁמַ֥עvai.yish.Ma'H8085their groaningנַאֲקָתָ֑םna.'a.ka.TamH5009,and Godאֱלֹהִים֙'E.lo.HimH430rememberedוַיִּזְכֹּ֤רvai.yiz.KorH2142his covenantבְּרִית֔וֹbe.ri.ToH1285with Abrahamאַבְרָהָ֖ם'av.ra.HamH85,with Isaacיִצְחָ֥קyitz.ChakH3327,and with Jacobיַעֲקֹֽב׃ya.'a.KoH3290.

25And Godאֱלֹהִ֖ים'E.lo.HimH430lookedוַיַּ֥רְאvai.Yar'H7200upon the childrenבְּנֵ֣יbe.NeiH1121of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֑לYis.ra.'ElH3478,and Godאֱלֹהִֽים׃ ס'E.lo.HimH430had respectוַיֵּ֖דַעvai.Ye.da'H3045unto them.
