1Now when Solomonשְׁלֹמֹה֙she.lo.MohH8010had made an endוּכְכַלּ֤וֹתu.khe.kha.LotH3615of prayingלְהִתְפַּלֵּ֔לle.hit.pa.LelH6419,the fireוְהָאֵ֗שׁve.ha.'EshH784came downיָֽרְדָה֙ya.re.DahH3381from heavenמֵֽהַשָּׁמַ֔יִםme.ha.sha.Ma.yimH8064,and consumedוַתֹּ֥אכַלva.To.khalH398the burnt offeringהָעֹלָ֖הha.'o.LahH5930and the sacrificesוְהַזְּבָחִ֑יםve.ha.ze.va.ChimH2077;and the gloryוּכְב֥וֹדu.khe.VodH3519of the Lordיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068filledמָלֵ֥אma.Le'H4390the houseהַבָּֽיִת׃ha.Ba.yitH1004.

2And the priestsהַכֹּ֣הֲנִ֔יםha.Ko.ha.NimH3548couldיָֽכְלוּ֙ya.khe.LuH3201not enterלָב֖וֹאla.Vo'H935into the houseבֵּ֣יתbeitH1004of the Lordיְהוָ֑הYah.wehH3068,because the gloryכְבוֹד־khe.Vod-H3519of the Lordיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068had filledמָלֵ֥אma.Le'H4390the Lord’sיְהוָֽה׃Yah.wehH3068houseבֵּ֥יתbeitH1004.

3And when all the childrenבְּנֵ֣יbe.NeiH1121of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֗לYis.ra.'ElH3478sawרֹאִים֙ro.'ImH7200how the fireהָאֵ֔שׁha.'EshH784came downבְּרֶ֣דֶתbe.Re.detH3381,and the gloryוּכְב֥וֹדu.khe.VodH3519of the Lordיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068upon the houseהַבָּ֑יִתha.Ba.yitH1004,they bowedוַיִּכְרְעוּ֩vai.yikh.re.'UH3766themselves with their facesאַפַּ֨יִם'a.Pa.yimH639to the groundאַ֤רְצָה'Ar.tzahH776upon the pavementהָרִֽצְפָה֙ha.ritz.FahH7531,and worshippedוַיִּֽשְׁתַּֽחֲו֔וּvai.yish.ta.cha.VuH7812,and praisedוְהוֹד֤וֹתve.ho.DotH3034the Lordלַיהוָה֙la.Yah.wehH3068, saying, For he isgoodט֔וֹבTovH2896;for his mercyחַסְדּֽוֹ׃chas.DoH2617endurethfor everלְעוֹלָ֖םle.'o.LamH5769.

4Then the kingוְהַמֶּ֖לֶךְve.ha.Me.lekhH4428and all the peopleהָעָ֑םha.'AmH5971offeredזֹבְחִ֥יםzoe.ChimH2076sacrificesזֶ֖בַחZe.vachH2077beforeלִפְנֵ֥יlif.NeiH6440the Lordיְהוָֽה׃ סYah.wehH3068.

5And kingהַמֶּ֣לֶךְha.Me.lekhH4428Solomonשְׁלֹמֹה֮she.lo.MohH8010offeredוַיִּזְבַּ֞חvai.yiz.BachH2076a sacrificeזֶ֣בַחZe.vachH2077of twentyעֶשְׂרִ֤ים'es.RimH6242and twoוּשְׁנַ֙יִם֙u.she.Na.yimH8147thousandאֶ֔לֶף'E.lefH505oxenהַבָּקָ֗רha.ba.KarH1241,and an hundredמֵאָ֥הme.'AhH3967and twentyוְעֶשְׂרִ֖יםve.'es.RimH6242thousandאָ֑לֶף'A.lefH505sheepוְצֹ֕אןve.TzonH6629:so the kingהַמֶּ֖לֶךְha.Me.lekhH4428and all the peopleהָעָֽם׃ha.'AmH5971dedicatedוַֽיַּחְנְכוּ֙vai.yach.ne.KhuH2596the houseבֵּ֣יתbeitH1004of Godהָֽאֱלֹהִ֔יםha.'E.lo.HimH430.

6And the priestsוְהַכֹּהֲנִ֞יםve.ha.ko.ha.NimH3548waitedעֹמְדִ֗ים'o.me.DimH5975on their officesמִשְׁמְרוֹתָ֣םmish.me.ro.TamH4931:the Levitesוְהַלְוִיִּ֞םve.hal.vi.YimH3881also with instrumentsבִּכְלֵי־bikh.lei-H3627of musickשִׁ֤ירshirH7892of the Lordיְהוָה֙Yah.wehH3068,which Davidדָּוִ֣ידda.VidH1732the kingהַמֶּ֗לֶךְha.Me.lekhH4428had madeעָשָׂ֜ה'a.SahH6213to praiseלְהֹד֤וֹתle.ho.DotH3034the Lordלַיהוָה֙la.Yah.wehH3068,because his mercyחַסְדּ֔וֹchas.DoH2617endurethfor everלְעוֹלָ֣םle.'o.LamH5769,when Davidדָּוִ֖ידda.VidH1732praisedבְּהַלֵּ֥לbe.ha.LelH1984by their ministryבְּיָדָ֑םbe.ya.DamH3027;and the priestsוְהַכֹּהֲנִים֙ve.ha.ko.ha.NimH3548sounded trumpetsמַחְצְרִ֣יםma.cha.tzo.tze.rimH2690before them, and all Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֖לYis.ra.'ElH3478stoodעֹמְדִֽים׃ ס'o.me.DimH5975.

7Moreover Solomonשְׁלֹמֹ֗הshe.lo.MohH8010hallowedוַיְקַדֵּ֣שׁvay.ka.DeshH6942the middleתּ֤וֹךְTokhH8432of the courtהֶֽחָצֵר֙he.cha.TzerH2691that wasbeforeלִפְנֵ֣יlif.NeiH6440the houseבֵית־veit-H1004of the Lordיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068:for there he offeredעָ֤שָׂה'A.sahH6213burnt offeringsהָֽעֹל֔וֹתha.'o.LotH5930,and the fatחֶלְבֵ֣יchel.VeiH2459of the peace offeringsהַשְּׁלָמִ֑יםha.she.la.MimH8002,because the brasenהַנְּחֹ֙שֶׁת֙ha.ne.Cho.shetH5178altarמִזְבַּ֤חmiz.BachH4196which Solomonשְׁלֹמֹ֔הshe.lo.MohH8010had madeעָשָׂ֣ה'a.SahH6213was not ableיָכ֗וֹלya.KholH3201to receiveלְהָכִ֛ילle.ha.KhilH3557the burnt offeringsהָעֹלָ֥הha.'o.LahH5930,and the meat offeringsהַמִּנְחָ֖הha.min.ChahH4503,and the fatהַחֲלָבִֽים׃ha.cha.la.VimH2459.

8Also at the same timeבָּעֵ֨תba.'EtH6256Solomonשְׁלֹמֹ֣הshe.lo.MohH8010keptוַיַּ֣עַשׂvai.Ya.'asH6213the feastהֶ֠חָגHe.chogH2282sevenשִׁבְעַ֤תshiv.'AtH7651daysיָמִים֙ya.MimH3117,and all Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֣לYis.ra.'ElH3478with him, a veryמְאֹ֑דme.'OdH3966greatגָּד֣וֹלga.DolH1419congregationקָהָ֖לka.HalH6951,from the entering inמִלְּב֥וֹאmi.le.Vo'H935of Hamathחֲמָ֖תcha.MatH2574unto the riverנַ֥חַלNa.chalH5158of Egyptמִצְרָֽיִם׃mitz.Ra.yimH4714.

9And in the eighthהַשְּׁמִינִ֖יha.she.mi.NiH8066dayבַּיּ֥וֹםbai.YomH3117they madeוַֽיַּעֲשׂ֛וּvai.ya.'a.SuH6213a solemn assemblyעֲצָ֑רֶת'a.Tza.retH6116:for they keptעָשׂוּ֙'a.SuH6213the dedicationחֲנֻכַּ֣תcha.nu.KatH2598of the altarהַמִּזְבֵּ֗חַha.miz.Be.achH4196sevenשִׁבְעַ֣תshiv.'AtH7651daysיָמִ֔יםya.MimH3117,and the feastוְהֶחָ֖גve.he.ChagH2282sevenשִׁבְעַ֥תshiv.'AtH7651daysיָמִֽים׃ya.MimH3117.

10And on the threeוּשְׁלֹשָׁה֙u.she.lo.ShahH7969and twentiethעֶשְׂרִ֤ים'es.RimH6242dayוּבְי֨וֹםu.ve.YomH3117of the seventhהַשְּׁבִיעִ֔יha.she.vi.'IH7637monthלַחֹ֣דֶשׁla.Cho.deshH2320he sentH7971the peopleהָעָ֖םha.'AmH5971awayשִׁלַּ֥חshi.LachH7971into their tentsלְאָהֳלֵיהֶ֑םle.'o.ho.lei.HemH168,gladשְׂמֵחִים֙se.me.ChimH8056and merryוְט֣וֹבֵיve.ToeiH2896in heartלֵ֔בLevH3820for the goodnessהַטּוֹבָ֗הha.to.VahH2896that the Lordיְהוָה֙Yah.wehH3068had shewedעָשָׂ֤ה'a.SahH6213unto Davidלְדָוִ֣ידle.da.VidH1732,and to Solomonוְלִשְׁלֹמֹ֔הve.lish.lo.MohH8010,and to Israelוּלְיִשְׂרָאֵ֖לu.le.Yis.ra.'ElH3478his peopleעַמּֽוֹ׃a.MoH5971.

11Thus Solomonשְׁלֹמֹ֛הshe.lo.MohH8010finishedוַיְכַ֧לvay.KhalH3615the houseבֵּ֥יתbeitH1004of the Lordיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068,and the king’sהַמֶּ֑לֶךְha.Me.lekhH4428houseבֵּ֣יתbeitH1004:and all that cameהַבָּ֜אha.Ba'H935into Solomon’sשְׁלֹמֹ֗הshe.lo.MohH8010heartלֵ֣בlevH3820to makeלַעֲשׂ֧וֹתla.'a.SotH6213in the houseבְּבֵית־be.veit-H1004of the Lordיְהוָ֛הYah.wehH3068,and in his own houseוּבְבֵית֖וֹu.ve.vei.ToH1004,he prosperously effectedהִצְלִֽיחַ׃ פhitz.Li.achH6743.

12And the Lordיְהוָ֛הYah.wehH3068appearedוַיֵּרָ֧אvai.ye.Ra'H7200to Solomonשְׁלֹמֹ֖הshe.lo.MohH8010by nightבַּלָּ֑יְלָהba.La.ye.lahH3915,and saidוַיֹּ֣אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559unto him, I have heardשָׁמַ֙עְתִּי֙sha.Ma'.tiH8085thy prayerתְּפִלָּתֶ֔ךָte.fi.la.Te.khaH8605,and have chosenוּבָחַ֜רְתִּיu.va.Char.tiH977this placeבַּמָּק֥וֹםba.ma.KomH4725to myself for an houseלְבֵ֥יתle.VeitH1004of sacrificeזָֽבַח׃Za.vachH2077.

13IfH2005I shut upאֶֽעֱצֹ֤ר'e.'e.TzorH6113heavenהַשָּׁמַ֙יִם֙ha.sha.Ma.yimH8064that there be no rainמָטָ֔רma.TarH4306,or if I commandאֲצַוֶּ֥ה'a.tza.VehH6680the locustsחָגָ֖בcha.GavH2284to devourלֶאֱכ֣וֹלle.'e.KholH398the landהָאָ֑רֶץha.'A.retzH776,or if I sendאֲשַׁלַּ֥ח'a.sha.LachH7971pestilenceדֶּ֖בֶרDe.verH1698among my peopleבְּעַמִּֽי׃be.'a.MiH5971;

14If my peopleעַמִּ֜י'a.MiH5971,which are calledנִֽקְרָא־nik.ra'-H7121by my nameשְׁמִ֣יshe.MiH8034,shall humbleוְיִכָּנְע֨וּve.yi.ka.ne.'UH3665themselves, and prayוְיִֽתְפַּֽלְלוּ֙ve.yit.pa.LuH6419,and seekוִֽיבַקְשׁ֣וּvi.vak.ShuH1245my faceפָנַ֔יfa.NaiH6440,and turnוְיָשֻׁ֖בוּve.ya.Shu.vuH7725from their wickedהָרָעִ֑יםha.ra.'ImH7451waysמִדַּרְכֵיהֶ֣םmi.dar.khei.HemH1870;then will I hearאֶשְׁמַ֣ע'esh.Ma'H8085from heavenהַשָּׁמַ֔יִםha.sha.Ma.yimH8064,and will forgiveוְאֶסְלַח֙ve.'es.LachH5545their sinלְחַטָּאתָ֔םle.cha.ta.TamH2403,and will healוְאֶרְפָּ֖אve.'er.Pa'H7495their landאַרְצָֽם׃'ar.TzamH776.

15Now mine eyesעֵינַי֙'ei.NaiH5869shall be openפְתֻח֔וֹתfe.tu.ChotH6605,and mine earsוְאָזְנַ֖יve.'a.ze.NaiH241attentקַשֻּׁב֑וֹתka.shu.VotH7183unto the prayerלִתְפִלַּ֖תlit.fi.LatH8605that is madein this placeהַמָּק֥וֹםha.ma.KomH4725.

16For now have I chosenבָּחַ֤רְתִּיba.Char.tiH977and sanctifiedוְהִקְדַּ֙שְׁתִּי֙ve.hik.Dash.tiH6942this houseהַבַּ֣יִתha.Ba.yitH1004,that my nameשְׁמִ֥יshe.MiH8034may be there forעַד־'ad-H5704everעוֹלָ֑םo.LamH5769:and mine eyesעֵינַ֧י'ei.NaiH5869and mine heartוְלִבִּ֛יve.li.BiH3820shall be there perpetuallyהַיָּמִֽים׃hai.ya.MimH3117.

17And as for thee, if thou wilt walkH3212beforeלְפָנַ֗יle.fa.NaiH6440me, as Davidדָּוִ֣ידda.VidH1732thy fatherאָבִ֔יךָ'a.Vi.khaH1walkedH1980,and doוְלַעֲשׂ֕וֹתve.la.'a.SotH6213according to all that I have commandedצִוִּיתִ֑יךָtzi.vi.Ti.khaH6680thee, and shalt observeתִּשְׁמֽוֹר׃tish.MorH8104my statutesוְחֻקַּ֥יve.chu.KaiH2706and my judgmentsוּמִשְׁפָּטַ֖יu.mish.pa.TaiH4941;

18Then will I stablishוַהֲקִ֣ימוֹתִ֔יva.ha.Ki.mo.TiH6965the throneכִּסֵּ֣אki.Se'H3678of thy kingdomמַלְכוּתֶ֑ךָmal.khu.Te.khaH4438,according as I have covenantedכָּרַ֗תִּיka.Ra.tiH3772with Davidלְדָוִ֤ידle.da.VidH1732thy fatherאָבִ֙יךָ֙'a.Vi.khaH1,sayingלֵאמֹ֔רle.MorH559,There shall not failיִכָּרֵ֤תyi.ka.RetH3772thee a manאִ֔ישׁ'IshH376to berulerמוֹשֵׁ֖לmo.ShelH4910in Israelבְּיִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃be.Yis.ra.'ElH3478.

19But if ye turn awayתְּשׁוּב֣וּןte.shu.VunH7725,and forsakeוַעֲזַבְתֶּם֙va.'a.zav.TemH5800my statutesחֻקּוֹתַ֣יchu.ko.TaiH2708and my commandmentsוּמִצְוֹתַ֔יu.mitz.vo.TaiH4687,which I have setנָתַ֖תִּיna.Ta.tiH5414beforeלִפְנֵיכֶ֑םlif.nei.KhemH6440you, and shall goוַהֲלַכְתֶּ֗םva.ha.lakh.TemH1980and serveוַעֲבַדְתֶּם֙va.'a.vad.TemH5647otherאֲחֵרִ֔ים'a.che.RimH312godsאֱלֹהִ֣ים'E.lo.HimH430,and worshipוְהִשְׁתַּחֲוִיתֶ֖םve.hish.ta.cha.vi.TemH7812them;

20Then will I pluck them up by the rootsוּנְתַשְׁתִּ֗יםu.ne.tash.TimH5428out of my landאַדְמָתִי֙'ad.ma.TiH127which I have givenנָתַ֣תִּיna.Ta.tiH5414them; and this houseהַבַּ֤יִתha.Ba.yitH1004,which I have sanctifiedהִקְדַּ֣שְׁתִּיhik.Dash.tiH6942for my nameלִשְׁמִ֔יlish.MiH8034,will I cast outאַשְׁלִ֖יךְ'ash.LikhH7993of my sightפָּנָ֑יpa.NaiH6440,and will makeוְאֶתְּנֶ֛נּוּve.'et.te.Ne.nuH5414it to bea proverbלְמָשָׁ֥לle.ma.ShalH4912and a bywordוְלִשְׁנִינָ֖הve.lish.ni.NahH8148among all nationsהָעַמִּֽים׃ha.'a.MimH5971.

21And this houseוְהַבַּ֤יִתve.ha.Ba.yitH1004,which is highעֶלְי֔וֹןel.YonH5945,shall be an astonishmentיִשֹּׁ֑םyi.ShomH8074to every one that passethעֹבֵ֥ר'o.VerH5674by it; so that he shall sayוְאָמַ֗רve.'a.MarH559,Why hath the Lordיְהוָה֙Yah.wehH3068doneעָשָׂ֤ה'a.SahH6213thus unto this landלָאָ֥רֶץla.'A.retzH776,and unto this houseוְלַבַּ֥יִתve.la.Ba.yitH1004?

22And it shall be answeredוְאָמְר֗וּve.'a.me.RuH559,Because they forsookעָֽזְב֜וּ'a.ze.VuH5800the Lordיְהוָ֣ה׀Yah.wehH3068Godאֱלֹהֵ֣י'e.lo.HeiH430of their fathersאֲבֹתֵיהֶ֗ם'a.vo.tei.HemH1,which brought them forthהוֹצִיאָם֮ho.tzi.'AmH3318out of the landמֵאֶ֣רֶץme.'E.retzH776of Egyptמִצְרַיִם֒mitz.ra.YimH4714,and laid holdוַֽיַּחֲזִ֙יקוּ֙vai.ya.cha.Zi.kuH2388on otherאֲחֵרִ֔ים'a.che.RimH312godsבֵּאלֹהִ֣יםbe.lo.HimH430,and worshippedוַיִּשְׁתַּחֲו֥וּvai.yish.ta.cha.VuH7812them, and servedוַיַּֽעַבְד֑וּםvai.ya.'av.DumH5647them: therefore hath he broughtהֵבִ֣יאhe.Vi'H935all this evilהָרָעָ֖הha.ra.'AhH7451upon them.
