8AndAsahadanarmyH2428thatbare bucklersandspears,outofJudahthreeH7969hundredH3967thousandH505;andoutofBenjamin,thatbare shieldsanddrew bows,twoH3967hundredH3967andfourscorethousandH505:alltheseweremightymenofvalor.

9AndtherecameH3318outagainstthemZerahtheEthiopianwithanarmyofathousand thousand,andthree hundred chariots;andhecameH3318untoMareshahH4762.

10ThenAsaH609wentH935outtomeethim,andtheysetthebattleinarrayinthevalleyofZephathahatMareshah.

11AndAsaH609cried untoJehovahhisGod,andsaid,Jehovah,thereisnone besides theetohelp, betweenthemightyandhimthathath no strength: helpus,OJehovahourGod;forwe relyonthee,andinthy namearewe comeagainstthismultitude.OJehovah, thou artourGod; let not man prevailagainstthee.

12SoJehovahsmotetheEthiopiansbeforeAsaH609,andbeforeJudah;andtheEthiopiansfled.

13AndAsaandthepeoplethatwereH1961withhimpursuedthemuntoGerarH1642:andtherefelloftheEthiopianssomanyH7227thattheycouldnotrecoverthemselves;fortheywereH1961destroyedbeforeJehovah,andbeforehishost;andtheycarriedawayverymuchרַבָּ֖הra.BahH7227booty.

14Andtheysmoteallthecities roundaboutGerar;forthefearofJehovahcameuponthem:andtheydespoiledallthecities;fortherewasmuchspoilinthem.
