Numbers 30
Revised Version 1895
1And MosesH4872 spake unto the heads of the tribes of the childrenH1121 of IsraelH3478, sayingH559, This is the thingH3605 whichH834 the LORDH3068 hath commandedH6680. 2When a manH1121 voweth a vow unto the LORDH3068, or sweareth an oathH1697 to bind his soul with a bond, he shall notH2088 break his wordH1697; he shall doH6680 accordingH413 to allH1697 that proceedeth outH413 of his mouth. 3Also when a woman voweth a vowH5088 unto the LORDH3068, and bindeth herselfH5315 by a bond, beingH5315 in herH3605 father’s house, in herH3605 youth; 4and herH802 fatherH1 heareth herH802 vowH5088, and herH802 bond wherewith sheH3588 hath boundH631 herH802 soul, and herH802 fatherH1 holdeth his peace at herH802: then all herH802 vowsH5088 shall stand, and everyH802 bond wherewith sheH3588 hath boundH631 herH802 soul shall stand. 5But ifH834 herH3605 fatherH1 disallow herH3605 in the day that he heareth; noneH3605 of herH3605 vowsH5088, or of herH3605 bonds wherewith sheH834 hath boundH631 herH3605 soulH5315, shall standH6965: and the LORD shall forgive herH3605, becauseH5921 herH3605 fatherH1 disallowed herH3605. 6And ifH518 sheH834 be married to a husband, whileH3117 herH3605 vowsH5088 are uponH5921 herH3605, or the rash utterance of herH3605 lips, wherewith sheH834 hath boundH631 herH3605 soulH5315; 7and herH5921 husbandH376 hear it, and hold his peace at herH5921 in the day that he heareth it: then herH5921 vowsH5088 shall stand, and herH5921 bonds wherewith sheH834 hath boundH631 herH5921 soulH5315 shall stand. 8But ifH834 herH5921 husbandH376 disallow herH5921 in the dayH3117 that he heareth it; then he shall makeH8085 void herH5921 vowH5088 whichH834 is uponH5921 herH5921, and the rash utterance of herH5921 lips, wherewith sheH834 hath boundH631 herH5921 soulH5315: and the LORD shall forgive herH5921. 9But the vowH5088 of a widow, or of herH5921 that is divorced, evenH518 everyH376 thing wherewith sheH834 hath boundH631 herH5921 soulH5315, shall stand againstH5921 herH5921. 10And ifH834 sheH834 vowedH5088 in herH3605 husband’s house, or boundH631 herH3605 soulH5315 by a bond with an oath, 11and herH5921 husbandH376 heard it, and held his peace at herH5921, and disallowed herH5921 notH518; then allH376 herH5921 vowsH5087 shall stand, and everyH376 bond wherewith sheH518 boundH631 herH5921 soulH5315 shall stand. 12But ifH834 herH3605 husbandH376 madeH631 them null and void in the day that he heardH8085 them; then whatsoeverH3605 proceeded outH5921 of herH3605 lips concerning herH3605 vowsH5088, or concerning the bond of herH3605 soulH5315, shall notH3808 standH6965: herH3605 husbandH376 hath madeH631 them void; and the LORD shall forgive herH3605. 13EveryH3605 vowH5088, and everyH3605 bindingH8193 oath to afflict the soulH5315, herH3605 husbandH376 may establishH6965 it, or herH3605 husbandH376 may makeH8085 it void. 14But ifH376 herH3605 husbandH376 altogetherH3605 hold his peace at herH3605 from day to day; then he establisheth allH3605 herH3605 vowsH5088, or allH3605 herH3605 bonds, which are upon herH3605: he hath establishedH6965 them, becauseH3605 he held his peace at herH3605 in the day that he heard them. 15But ifH518 he shall makeH8085 them null and void afterH5921 that he hath heardH8085 them; then he shall bear herH3605 iniquity. 16These are the statutes, which the LORD commanded Moses, between a man and his wife, between a father and his daughter, being in herH518 youth, in herH518 father’s house.
