Leviticus 17:8-12

8And thou shalt sayH559 unto them, Whatsoever manH376 there be of the houseH1004 of IsraelH3478, or of the strangersH1616 that sojourn among them, that offereth a burntH5930 offering or sacrificeH2077,

9and bringeth it notH3808 unto the doorH6607 of the tentH168 of meetingH4150, to sacrifice it unto the LORDH3068; evenH3808 that manH376 shall be cutH3772 offH3772 from his peopleH5971.

10And whatsoeverH3605 manH376 there be of the houseH1004 of IsraelH3478, or of the strangersH1616 that sojourn among them, that eateth anyH3605 manner of bloodH1818; I will setH5414 my faceH6440 againstH4480 that soulH5315 that eateth bloodH1818, and will cutH3772 him offH3772 from among his peopleH5971.

11For the lifeH5315 of the fleshH1320 is in the bloodH1818: and I have givenH5414 it to youH3588 uponH5921 the altarH4196 to makeH5414 atonementH3722 for your soulsH5315: for it is the bloodH1818 that maketh atonementH3722 by reasonH5921 of the lifeH5315.

12Therefore I saidH559 unto the childrenH1121 of IsraelH3478, NoH3808 soulH5315 of youH3605 shall eatH398 bloodH1818, neitherH3808 shall anyH3605 strangerH1616 that sojourneth among youH3605 eatH398 bloodH1818.
