Revised Version 1895
Isaiah 9:14-17
14Therefore the LORD will cut offH5375 from Israel headH7218 and tailH2180, palm-branch and rush, in one day.
15The ancient and the honourable man, he is the head; and the prophet that teacheth liesH1961, he is the tail.
16For they that lead this peopleH3808 causeH7725 them to err; and they that are led of them are destroyed.
17Therefore the Lord shall notH3588 rejoice over their young men, neither shall he have compassion on their fatherless and widows: for every one is profane and an evil-doer, and every mouth speaketh folly. For allH398 this his anger is notH3588 turned awayH398, but his hand is stretched outH784 still.
