Revised Version 1895
Isaiah 51:3-13
For the LORDH3068 hath comfortedH5162 ZionH6726: he hath comfortedH5162 allH3605 herH3605 wasteH2723 placesH2723, and hath madeH7760 herH3605 wildernessH4057 like EdenH5731, and herH3605 desertH6160 like the gardenH1588 of the LORDH3068; joyH8057 and gladnessH8057 shall be foundH4672 therein, thanksgivingH8426, and the voiceH6963 of melodyH2172.
Attend unto meH413, O my peopleH5971; and giveH238 earH238 unto meH413, O my nationH5971: for a lawH8451 shall goH3318 forthH3318 from meH413, and I will makeH3588 my judgmentH4941 to restH7280 for a lightH216 of the peoplesH5971.
My righteousnessH6664 is nearH7138, my salvationH3468 is goneH3318 forthH3318, and mine armsH2220 shall judgeH8199 the peoplesH5971; the islesH339 shall waitH3176 for meH413, and on mine armH2220 shall they trust.
LiftH5375 upH5375 your eyesH5869 to the heavensH8064, and lookH5027 uponH1961 the earthH776 beneathH8478: for the heavensH8064 shall vanish awayH5375 like smokeH6227, and the earthH776 shall wax oldH5769 like a garmentH899, and they that dwellH3427 therein shall dieH4191 in like mannerH3651: but my salvationH3444 shall be for everH5769, and my righteousnessH6666 shall notH3808 be abolished.
Hearken unto meH413, ye that knowH3045 righteousnessH6664, the peopleH5971 in whose heartH3820 is my lawH8451; fearH3372 ye notH408 the reproachH2781 of menH582, neitherH408 be ye dismayedH2865 at their revilingsH1421.
For the mothH6211 shall eatH398 them upH398 like a garmentH899, and the worm shall eatH398 them like woolH6785: but my righteousnessH6666 shall be for everH5769, and my salvationH3444 unto allH1755 generationsH1755.
AwakeH5782, awakeH5782, putH3847 on strengthH5797, O armH2220 of the LORDH3068; awakeH5782, as in the daysH3117 of oldH5769, the generationsH1755 of ancientH5769 timesH3117. Art thou notH3808 it that cutH2672 RahabH7294 in piecesH2672, that piercedH2490 the dragonH8577?
Art thou notH3808 it whichH1931 dried upH7760 the seaH3220, the watersH4325 of the greatH7227 deepH8415; that madeH7760 the depthsH8415 of the seaH3220 a wayH1870 for the redeemedH1350 to passH5674 over?
And the ransomedH6299 of the LORDH3068 shall returnH7725, and comeH935 with singingH7440 unto ZionH6726; and everlastingH5769 joyH8057 shall be uponH5921 their headsH7218: they shall obtainH5381 gladnessH8057 and joyH8057, and sorrowH3015 and sighingH585 shall fleeH5127 awayH7725.
I, even I, am he that comforteth youH859: who art thou, that thou art afraidH3372 of manH120 that shall dieH4191, and of the sonH1121 of manH120 whichH1931 shall be madeH5414 as grassH2682;
and hast forgottenH7911 the LORDH3068 thy Maker, that stretchedH5186 forth the heavensH8064, and laidH3245 the foundationsH3245 of the earthH776; and fearest continuallyH8548 allH3605 the dayH3117 becauseH834 of the furyH2534 of the oppressorH6693, when he maketh readyH3559 to destroyH7843? and whereH834 is the furyH2534 of the oppressorH6693?
