Revised Version 1895
Isaiah 49:13-23
SingH7442, O heavensH8064; and be joyfulH7440, O earthH776; and breakH6476 forthH6476 intoH776 singingH7440, O mountainsH2022: for the LORDH3068 hath comfortedH5162 his peopleH5971, and will have compassionH7355 upon his afflictedH6041.
But ZionH6726 saidH559, JehovahH3068 hath forsaken meH7911, and the LordH3068 hath forgottenH7911 meH7911.
CanH1121 a womanH802 forgetH7911 herH802 sucking childH1121, that sheH3808 should notH3808 have compassionH7355 on the sonH1121 of herH802 wombH990? yea, theseH428 may forgetH7911, yet will notH3808 I forgetH7911 thee.
BeholdH2005, I have graven thee uponH5921 the palmsH3709 of my handsH3709; thy wallsH2346 are continuallyH8548 beforeH5048 meH5921.
Thy childrenH1121 makeH4116 hasteH4116; thy destroyersH2040 and they that madeH4116 thee waste shall goH3318 forthH3318 of thee.
LiftH5375 upH5375 thine eyesH5869 roundH5439 aboutH5439, and beholdH7200: allH3605 theseH3605 gatherH6908 themselvesH6908 togetherH6908, and comeH935 to thee. As I l liveH2416, saith the LORDH3068, thou shalt surelyH3588 clotheH3847 thee with them allH3605 as with an ornament, and gird thyself with them, like a brideH3618.
For, as for thy wasteH2723 and thy desolateH8074 placesH2723 and thy landH776 that hath been destroyedH2723, surelyH3588 nowH6258 shalt thou be too strait for the inhabitantsH3427, and they that swallowedH1104 thee upH1104 shall be farH7368 awayH7368.
The childrenH1121 of thy bereavement shall yet sayH559 in thine earsH241, The placeH4725 is tooH5750 strait for meH5066: give placeH4725 to meH5066 that I may dwellH3427.
Then shalt thou sayH559 in thine heartH3824, Who hath begottenH3205 meH589 theseH428, seeing I have been bereavedH7921 of my childrenH7921, and am solitary, an exileH1473, and wandering to and fro? and who hath broughtH3205 upH1431 theseH428? BeholdH2005, I was leftH7604 aloneH905; theseH428, whereH375 were they?
ThusH3541 saith the LordH136 GODH136, BeholdH2009, I will liftH5375 upH5375 mine handH3027 to the nationsH1471, and setH935 upH5375 my ensign to the peoplesH5971: and they shall bringH935 thy sonsH1121 in their bosomH2684, and thy daughtersH1323 shall he carriedH5375 uponH5921 their shouldersH3802.
And kingsH4428 shall be thy nursingH3243 fathers, and their queens thy nursingH3243 mothers: they shall bowH7812 downH7812 to thee with their facesH639 to the earthH776, and lickH3897 the dustH6083 of thy feetH7272; and thou shalt knowH3045 that I am the LORDH3068, and they that waitH6960 for meH589 shall notH3808 be ashamedH954.
