Revised Version 1895
Isaiah 42:1-7
1BeholdH2005 my servantH5650, whom I upholdH8551; my chosenH972, in whom my soulH5315 delighteth: I have putH5414 my spiritH7307 uponH5921 him; he shall bringH3318 forthH3318 judgmentH4941 to the GentilesH1471.
2He shall notH3808 cryH6817, norH3808 liftH5375 upH5375, norH3808 cause his voiceH6963 to be heardH8085 in the streetH2351.
3A bruisedH7533 reedH7070 shall he notH3808 breakH7665, and the smoking flaxH6594 shall he notH3808 quenchH3518: he shall bringH3318 forthH3318 judgmentH4941 in truthH571.
4He shall notH3808 failH3808 norH3808 be discouraged, tillH5704 he have setH7760 judgmentH4941 in the earthH776; and the islesH339 shall waitH3176 for his lawH8451.
5ThusH3541 saith GodH410 the LORDH3068, he that createdH1254 the heavensH8064, and stretchedH5186 them forthH5414; he that spreadH5186 abroad the earthH776 and that whichH7307 cometh outH5186 of it; he that giveth breathH7307 unto the peopleH5971 uponH5921 it, and spiritH7307 to them that walkH1980 therein:
6I the LORDH3068 have calledH7121 thee in righteousnessH6664, and will holdH2388 thine handH3027, and will keepH5341 thee, and giveH5414 thee for a covenantH1285 of the peopleH5971, for a lightH216 of the GentilesH1471;
7to openH6491 the blindH5787 eyesH5869, to bringH3318 outH3318 the prisonersH616 from the dungeonH4525, and them that sitH3427 in darknessH2822 outH3318 of the prisonH3608 houseH1004.
