Revised Version 1895
Samuel 23:18-23
And AbishaiH52, the brotherH251 of JoabH3097, the sonH1121 of ZeruiahH6870, was chiefH7218 of the threeH7969. And he liftedH5782 upH5921 his spearH2595 againstH5921 threeH7969 hundredH3967 and slew them, and had a nameH8034 among the threeH7969.
Was he notH3808 mostH4480 honourable of the threeH7969? therefore he was madeH3513 their captainH8269: howbeit he attained notH3808 unto the first threeH7969.
And BenaiahH1141 the sonH1121 of JehoiadaH3077, the sonH1121 of a valiant manH376 of KabzeelH6909, who had doneH6467 mighty deedsH6467, he slewH5221 the twoH8147 sonsH1121 of ArielH739 of MoabH4124: he wentH3381 downH3381 also and slewH5221 a lionH738 in the midstH8432 of a pitH953 in time of snowH7950:
And he slewH2026 an EgyptianH4713, a goodly manH376: and the EgyptianH4713 had a spearH2595 in his handH3027; but he wentH3381 downH3381 to him with a staffH7626, and plucked the spearH2595 outH413 of the Egyptian’sH4713 handH3027, and slewH2026 him with his ownH376 spearH2595.
TheseH428 things didH6213 BenaiahH1141 the sonH1121 of JehoiadaH3077, and had a nameH8034 among the threeH7969 mightyH1368 menH1368.
He was moreH4480 honourable thanH4480 the thirtyH7970, but he attained notH3808 to the first threeH7969. And DavidH1732 setH7760 him over his guardH4928.
