2 Kings 6:24-33
24And it cameH1961 to passH1961 afterH310 this, that Ben-hadadH1130 kingH4428 of SyriaH758 gatheredH6908 allH3605 his hostH4264, and wentH5927 upH5927, and besieged SamariaH8111. 25And there was a greatH1419 famineH7458 in SamariaH8111: and, beholdH2009, they besieged it, untilH5704 an ass’s headH7218 was soldH1961 for fourscore pieces of silverH3701, and the fourthH7255 partH5921 of a kabH6894 of dove’s dung for fiveH2568 pieces of silverH3701. 26And as the kingH4428 of IsraelH3478 was passingH5674 by uponH5921 the wallH2346, there criedH6817 a womanH802 unto him, sayingH559, HelpH3467, my lordH113, O kingH4428. 27And he saidH559, IfH176 the LORDH3068 doH408 notH408 helpH3467 thee, whence shall I helpH3467 thee? outH4480 of the threshing-floor, or outH4480 of the winepressH3342? 28And the kingH4428 saidH559 unto herH413, WhatH4100 aileth thee? And sheH4100 answeredH559, This womanH802 saidH559 unto meH413, GiveH5414 thy sonH1121, that weH3117 may eatH398 him todayH3117, and weH3117 will eatH398 my sonH1121 tomorrowH4279. 29SoH5414 weH3117 boiledH1310 my sonH1121, and didH3117 eatH398 him: and I saidH559 unto herH413 on the nextH312 dayH3117, GiveH5414 thy sonH1121, that weH3117 may eatH398 him: and she hath hidH2244 herH413 sonH1121. 30And it cameH1961 to passH5674, when the kingH4428 heardH8085 the wordsH1697 of the womanH802, that he rent his clothesH899; (nowH1961 he was passingH5674 by uponH5921 the wallH2346;) and the peopleH5971 lookedH7200, and, beholdH2009, he had sackclothH8242 withinH5921 uponH5921 his fleshH1320. 31Then he saidH559, GodH430 doH6213 soH6213 to meH5921, and moreH3254 also, ifH518 the headH7218 of ElishaH477 the sonH1121 of ShaphatH8202 shall standH5975 on him this dayH3117. 32But ElishaH477 satH3427 in his houseH1004; and the eldersH2205 satH3427 with him; and the king sentH7971 a manH376 from beforeH6440 him: but ere the messengerH4397 cameH935 to him, he saidH559 to the eldersH2205, SeeH7200 ye howH3588 this sonH1121 of a murdererH7523 hath sentH7971 to takeH5493 awayH5493 mine headH7218? lookH7200, when the messengerH4397 cometh, shutH5462 the doorH1817, and holdH3905 the doorH1817 fast againstH413 him: is notH3808 the soundH6963 of his master’sH113 feetH7272 behindH310 him.? 33And whileH5750 he yet talkedH1696 with them, beholdH2009, the messengerH4397 cameH3381 downH3381 unto him: and he saidH559, BeholdH2009, this evilH7451 is of the LORDH3068; whyH4100 should I waitH3176 for the LORDH3068 anyH5750 longerH5750?
