Revised Version 1895
2 Kings 5:1-7
1NowH1961 NaamanH5283, captainH8269 of the hostH6635 of the kingH4428 of SyriaH758, was a greatH1419 manH376 with his masterH113, and honourable, becauseH3588 by him the LORDH3068 had givenH5414 victoryH8668 unto SyriaH758: he was also a mightyH1368 manH376 of valour, but he was a leperH6879.
2And the Syrians had goneH3318 outH3318 in bandsH1416, and had broughtH3318 awayH7617 captiveH7617 outH3318 of the landH776 of IsraelH3478 a littleH6996 maid; and sheH6440 waitedH1961 on Naaman’sH5283 wifeH802.
3And sheH834 saidH559 unto herH413 mistressH1404, Would GodH559 my lordH113 were with the prophetH5030 that is in SamariaH8111! then would he recover him of his leprosyH6883.
4And one wentH935 in, and toldH5046 his lordH113, sayingH559, Thus and thus saidH559 the maid that is of the landH776 of IsraelH3478.
5And the kingH4428 of SyriaH758 saidH559, GoH935 to, goH935, and I will sendH7971 a letterH5612 unto the kingH4428 of IsraelH3478. And he departedH935, and tookH3947 with him tenH6235 talentsH3603 of silverH3701, and sixH8337 thousandH505 pieces of goldH2091, and tenH6235 changesH2487 of raiment.
6And he broughtH935 the letterH5612 to the kingH4428 of IsraelH3478, sayingH559, And nowH6258 when this letterH5612 is comeH935 unto thee, beholdH2009, I have sentH7971 NaamanH5283 my servantH5650 to thee, that thou mayest recover him of his leprosyH6883.
7And it cameH1961 to passH1961, when the kingH4428 of IsraelH3478 had readH7121 the letterH5612, that he rent his clothesH899, and saidH559, Am I GodH430, to killH4191 and to makeH3045 aliveH2421, that this manH376 doth sendH7971 unto meH413 to recoverH2421 a manH376 of his leprosyH6883? but considerH7200, I prayH4994 youH3588, and seeH7200 howH3588 he seeketh a quarrelH579 againstH413 meH413.
