2That thou mayest regardלִשְׁמֹ֥רlish.MorH8104discretionמְזִמּ֑וֹתme.zi.MotH4209, and thatthy lipsשְׂפָתֶ֥יךָse.fa.Tei.khaH8193may keepיִנְצֹֽרוּ׃yin.Tzo.ruH5341knowledgeוְ֝דַ֗עַתve.Da.'atH1847.

3For the lipsשִׂפְתֵ֣יsif.TeiH8193of a strange womanזָרָ֑הza.RahH2114dropתִּ֭טֹּפְנָהTi.to.fe.nahH5197asan honeycombנֹ֣פֶתNo.fetH5317,and her mouthחִכָּֽהּ׃chi.KahH2441issmootherוְחָלָ֖קve.cha.LakH2509than oilמִשֶּׁ֣מֶןmi.She.menH8081:

4But her endוְֽ֭אַחֲרִיתָהּVe.'a.cha.ri.tahH319is bitterמָרָ֣הma.RahH4751as wormwoodכַֽלַּעֲנָ֑הkha.la.'a.NahH3939,sharpחַ֝דָּ֗הcha.DahH2299as a twoedgedפִּיּֽוֹת׃pi.YotH6310swordכְּחֶ֣רֶבke.Che.revH2719.

6Lest thou shouldest ponderתְּפַלֵּ֑סte.fa.LesH6424the pathאֹ֣רַח'O.rachH734of lifeחַ֭יִּיםChai.yimH2416,her waysמַ֝עְגְּלֹתֶ֗יהָma'.ge.lo.Tei.haH4570are moveableנָע֥וּna.'UH5128, thatthou canst not knowתֵדָֽע׃ פte.Da'H3045them.

7Hearשִׁמְעוּ־shim.'u-H8085me now therefore, O ye childrenבָ֭נִיםVa.nimH1121,and departתָּ֝ס֗וּרוּta.Su.ruH5493not from the wordsמֵאִמְרֵי־me.'im.rei-H561of my mouthפִֽי׃FiH6310.

8RemoveH7368thy wayדַרְכֶּ֑ךָdar.Ke.khaH1870farהַרְחֵ֣קhar.ChekH7368from her, and come not nighתִּ֝קְרַ֗בtik.RavH7126the doorפֶּ֥תַחPe.tachH6607of her houseבֵּיתָֽהּ׃bei.TahH1004:

9Lest thou giveתִּתֵּ֣ןti.TenH5414thine honourהוֹדֶ֑ךָho.De.khaH1935unto othersלַאֲחֵרִ֣יםla.'a.che.RimH312,and thy yearsוּ֝שְׁנֹתֶ֗יךָu.she.no.Tei.khaH8141unto the cruelלְאַכְזָרִֽי׃le.'akh.za.RiH394:

10Lest strangersזָרִ֣יםza.RimH2114be filledיִשְׂבְּע֣וּyis.be.'UH7646with thy wealthכֹּחֶ֑ךָko.Che.khaH3581;and thy laboursוַ֝עֲצָבֶ֗יךָva.'a.tza.Vei.khaH6089bein the houseבְּבֵ֣יתbe.VeitH1004of a strangerנָכְרִֽי׃na.khe.RiH5237;

11And thou mournוְנָהַמְתָּ֥ve.na.ham.TaH5098at the lastבְאַחֲרִיתֶ֑ךָve.'a.cha.ri.Te.khaH319,when thy fleshבְּ֝שָׂרְךָ֗be.sa.re.khaH1320and thy bodyוּשְׁאֵרֶֽךָ׃u.she.'e.Re.khaH7607are consumedבִּכְל֥וֹתbikh.LotH3615,

12And sayוְֽאָמַרְתָּ֗ve.'a.mar.TaH559,How have I hatedשָׂנֵ֣אתִיsa.Ne.tiH8130instructionמוּסָ֑רmu.SarH4148,and my heartלִבִּֽי׃li.BiH3820despisedנָאַ֥ץna.'AtzH5006reproofוְ֝תוֹכַ֗חַתve.to.Kha.chatH8433;

13And have not obeyedשָׁ֭מַעְתִּיSha.ma'.tiH8085the voiceבְּק֣וֹלbe.KolH6963of my teachersH3384,nor inclinedהִטִּ֥יתִיhi.Ti.tiH5186mine earאָזְנִֽי׃'a.ze.NiH241to them that instructedוְ֝לִֽמְלַמְּדַ֗יve.lim.la.me.DaiH3925me!

14I was almostכִּ֭מְעַטKim.'atH4592in all evilרָ֑עRa'H7451in the midstבְּת֖וֹךְbe.TokhH8432of the congregationקָהָ֣לka.HalH6951and assemblyוְעֵדָֽה׃ve.'e.DahH5712.
