31And Josephיוֹסֵ֤ףyo.SefH3130saidוַיֹּ֨אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559unto his brethrenאֶחָיו֙'e.ChavH251,and unto his father’sאָבִ֔יו'a.VivH1houseבֵּ֣יתbeitH1004,I will go upאֶעֱלֶ֖ה'e.'e.LehH5927,and shewוְאַגִּ֣ידָהve.'a.Gi.dahH5046Pharaohלְפַרְעֹ֑הle.far.'OhH6547,and sayוְאֹֽמְרָ֣הve.'o.me.RahH559unto him, My brethrenאַחַ֧י'a.ChaiH251,and my father’sאָבִ֛י'a.ViH1houseוּבֵית־u.veit-H1004, which werein the landבְּאֶֽרֶץ־be.'e.retz-H776of Canaanכְּנַ֖עַןke.Na.'anH3667,are comeבָּ֥אוּBa.'uH935unto me;

32And the menH582areshepherdsרֹ֣עֵי צֹ֔אןRo.'ei TzonH6629 H7462,for their trade hath been to feed cattleמִקְנֶ֖הmik.NehH4735;and they have broughtהֵבִֽיאוּ׃he.Vi.'uH935their flocksוְצֹאנָ֧םve.tzo.NamH6629,and their herdsוּבְקָרָ֛םu.ve.ka.RamH1241, and all that they have.

33And it shall come to pass, when Pharaohפַּרְעֹ֑הpar.'OhH6547shall callיִקְרָ֥אyik.Ra'H7121you, and shall sayוְאָמַ֖רve.'a.MarH559, What isyour occupationמַּעֲשֵׂיכֶֽם׃ma.'a.sei.KhemH4639?

34That ye shall sayוַאֲמַרְתֶּ֗םva.'a.mar.TemH559,Thy servants’עֲבָדֶ֙יךָ֙'a.va.Dei.khaH5650tradeאַנְשֵׁ֨י'an.SheiH582hath been about cattleמִקְנֶ֜הmik.NehH4735from our youthמִנְּעוּרֵ֣ינוּmi.ne.'u.Rei.nuH5271even until now, both we, andalso our fathersאֲבֹתֵ֑ינוּ'a.vo.Tei.nuH1:that ye may dwellתֵּשְׁבוּ֙te.she.VuH3427in the landבְּאֶ֣רֶץbe.'E.retzH776of Goshenגֹּ֔שֶׁןGo.shenH1657;for every shepherdרֹ֥עֵה צֹֽאן׃Ro.'eh TzonH6629 H7462isan abominationתוֹעֲבַ֥תto.'a.VatH8441unto the EgyptiansH4714.
