Nahum 2:5-10
5He remembersH2142 his 1officersH117; They 2stumbleH3782 in their advanceH1979, They hurryH4116 to her wallH2346, And the 3manteletH5527 is setH3559 up.6The gatesH8179 of the riversH5104 are openedH6605 And the palaceH1964 swaysH4127 backH4127 andH4127 forthH4127.7It is setH5324: She is strippedH1540, she is ledH5927 awayH5927, And her slaveH519 womenH519 are 4sobbingH5090 like the soundH6963 of dovesH3123, 5BeatingH8608 their 6breastsH3824.
8Though NinevehH5210 was like a poolH1295 of waterH4325 throughoutH4480 her daysH3117, Yet they are fleeingH5127; “StopH5975, stopH5975,” But 7noH369 oneH369 turnsH6437 backH6437.9PlunderH962 the silverH3701, PlunderH962 the 8goldH2091! For thereH369 isH369 noH369 endH7097 to the treasureH8499-- WealthH3519 from everyH3605 kind of desirableH2532 objectH3627.10She is 9emptiedH950! Yes, she is desolateH4003 and wasteH1110! 10HeartsH3820 are meltingH4549 and kneesH1290 wobblingH6375! Also tremblingH2479 is in 11the entireH3605 bodyH4975, And allH3605 their 12facesH6440 have becomeH6908 paleH6289!
