Malachi 2:4-10
4Then you will knowH3045 that I have sentH7971 thisH2088 commandmentH4687 to you, 1so that My 2covenantH1285 may 3continueH1961 with LeviH3878,” saysH559 the LordH3068 of armiesH6635. 5“My covenantH1285 with him was one of lifeH2425 and 4peaceH7965, and I gaveH5414 them to him as an object of 5reverenceH4172; so he 67reveredH3372 Me and wasH2865 inH2865 aweH2865 of My nameH8034. 689TrueH571 instructionH8451 was in his mouthH6310 and injusticeH5767 was not foundH4672 on his lipsH8193; he walkedH1980 10with Me in peaceH7965 and justiceH4334, and he 11turnedH7725 manyH7227 backH7725 from wrongdoingH5771. 7For the lipsH8193 of a priestH3548 should maintainH8104 12knowledgeH1847, and people should 13seekH1245 14instructionH8451 from his mouthH6310; for he is the 15messengerH4397 of the LordH3068 of armiesH6635. 8But as for you, you have turnedH5493 asideH5493 from the wayH1870; you have caused manyH7227 to 16stumbleH3782 17by the instructionH8451; you have 18ruinedH7843 the covenantH1285 of LeviH3878,” saysH559 the LordH3068 of armiesH6635. 9“So 19I alsoH1571 have madeH5414 you despisedH959 and of 20lowH8217 reputationH8217 21in the view of allH3605 the peopleH5971, sinceH6310H834 you are not keepingH8104 My waysH1870 but are showingH5375 22partialityH5375H6440 in the 23instructionH8451.”
10Do we not allH3605 have 24oneH259 FatherH1? 25Is it not oneH259 GodH410 who has createdH1254 us? WhyH4069 do we dealH898 26treacherouslyH898, eachH376 against his brotherH251 so as to profaneH2490 the 27covenantH1285 of our fathersH1?
