Jonah 4:1-5
1But it greatlyH1419 displeasedH7489H7463 JonahH3124, and he becameH2734 1angryH2734. 2Then he 2prayedH6419 to the LordH3068 and saidH559, “PleaseH577 LordH3068, was thisH2088 not 3whatH1697 I saidH1696 whenH5704 I was stillH5704 in my own countryH127? ThereforeH5921H3651 inH6923 anticipationH6923 of this I 4fledH1272 to TarshishH8659, sinceH3588 I knewH3045 that You are a 5graciousH2587 and compassionateH7349 GodH410, slowH750 to angerH639 and abundantH7227 in mercyH2617, and One who relentsH5162 of disasterH7463. 3So nowH6258, LordH3068, pleaseH4994 6takeH3947 my 7lifeH5315 from me, for deathH4194 is 8betterH2896 to me thanH4480 lifeH2425.” 4But the LordH3068 saidH559, “Do you haveH3190 a goodH3190 reasonH3190 to beH2734 angryH2734?”
5Then JonahH3124 leftH3318 the cityH5892 and satH3427 downH3427 eastH6924 of 9it. ThereH8033 he madeH6213 a shelterH5521 for himself and 10satH3427 underH8478 it in the shadeH6738, untilH5704H834 he could seeH7200 whatH4100 would happenH1961 in the cityH5892.
