Jonah 3:4-9
4Then JonahH3124 beganH2490 to goH935 through the cityH5892 oneH259 day’sH3117 walkH4109; and he 1criedH7121 outH7121 and saidH559, “FortyH705 moreH5750 daysH3117, and NinevehH5210 will be overthrownH2015.”
5Then the peopleH376 of NinevehH5210 believedH539 in GodH430; and they calledH7121 a 2fastH6685 and putH3847 onH3847 sackclothH8242, from the greatestH1419 to the leastH6996 of them. 6When the wordH1697 reachedH5060 the kingH4428 of NinevehH5210, he gotH6965 upH6965 from his throneH3678, removedH5674 his robeH155 from himself, 3coveredH3680 himself with sackclothH8242, and satH3427 on the 4dustH665. 7And he issuedH2199 aH2199 5proclamationH2199, and it saidH559, “In NinevehH5210 by the decreeH2940 of the kingH4428 and his noblesH1419: NoH408 personH120, animalH929, herdH1241, or flockH6629 is to tasteH2938 anythingH3972. They are not to eatH7462, or drinkH8354 waterH4325. 8But every personH120 and animalH929 must be coveredH3680 with sackclothH8242; and people are to 6callH7121 on GodH430 vehementlyH2394, and they are to 7turnH7725, eachH376 oneH376 from his evilH7463 wayH1870, and from the violenceH2555 whichH834 is in their handsH3709. 98WhoH4310 knowsH3045, GodH430 may turnH7725 and relentH5162, and turnH7725 from His burningH2740 angerH639 so that we will not perishH6.”
