Matthew 6:5-13
5“And when you pray, you are not to be like the hypocrites; for they love to 1stand and pray in the synagogues and on the street corners 2so that they 3will be seen by people. 4Truly I say to you, they have their reward in full. 6But as for you, when you pray, 5go into your inner room, close your door, and pray to your Father who is in secret; and 6your Father who sees what is done in secret will reward you.
7“And when you are praying, do not use thoughtless repetition as the Gentiles do, for they think that they will be heard because of their 7many words. 8So do not be like them; for 8your Father knows what you need before you ask Him.
9“9Pray, then, in this way: ‘Our Father, who is in heaven, 10Hallowed be Your name.101112Your kingdom come. 13Your will be done, 14On earth as it is in heaven.1115Give us this day 16our daily bread.12And 17forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors.13And do not lead us into temptation, but 18deliver us from 1920evil.21’
