Matthew 27:50-56

50And Jesus 1cried out again with a loud voice, and gave up His spirit. 512And behold, 3the 4veil of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom; and 5the earth shook and the rocks were split. 52Also the tombs were opened, and many bodies of the 6saints who had 7fallen asleep were raised; 53and coming out of the tombs after His resurrection, they entered 8the holy city and appeared to many. 549Now as for the centurion and those who were with him 10keeping guard over Jesus, when they saw 11the earthquake and the other things that were happening, they became extremely frightened and said, “Truly this was 1213the Son of God!”

5514And many women were there watching from a distance, who had followed Jesus from Galilee while 15caring for Him. 56Among them were 16Mary Magdalene, Mary the mother of James and Joseph, and 17the mother of the sons of Zebedee.
