Mark 15:24-41
24And they crucified Him, and 1divided up His garments among themselves, casting 2lots for them to decide 3what each man would take. 25Now it was the 45third hour 6when they crucified Him. 26The inscription of the charge against Him 7read, “8THE KING OF THE JEWS.”
27And they crucified two 9rebels with Him, one on His right and one on His left.10 29Those passing by were 11hurling abuse at Him, 12shaking their heads and saying, “Ha! You who are going to 13destroy the temple and rebuild it in three days, 30save Yourself by coming down from the cross!” 31In the same way the chief priests also, along with the scribes, were mocking Him among themselves and saying, “14He saved others; 15He cannot save Himself! 32Let this Christ, 16the King of Israel, come down now from the cross, so that we may see and believe!” 17Those who were crucified with Him were also insulting Him.
3318When the 1920sixth hour came, darkness 21fell over the whole land until the 2223ninth hour. 34At the 2425ninth hour Jesus cried out with a loud voice, “26Eloi, Eloi, lema sabaktanei?” which is translated, “My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me?” 35And when some of the bystanders heard Him, they began saying, “Look! He is calling for Elijah!” 36And someone ran and filled a sponge with sour wine, put it on a reed, and gave Him a drink, saying, “27Let us see if Elijah comes to take Him down.” 3728But Jesus let out a loud cry, and 29died. 3830And the veil of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom. 3931And when the centurion, who was standing 32right in front of Him, saw that He 33died in this way, he said, “Truly this Man was 34the Son of God!”
4035Now there were also some women watching from a distance, among whom were Mary Magdalene, Mary the mother of 36James 37the 38Less and Joses, and 39Salome. 41When He was in Galilee, they used to follow Him and 40serve Him; and there were many other women who came up with Him to Jerusalem.
