Luke 24:33-40

33And they got up that very hour and returned to Jerusalem, and 1found the eleven gathered together and 2those who were with them, 34saying, “3The Lord has really risen and 4has appeared to Simon!” 35They began to relate 5their experiences on the road, and how 6He was recognized by them at the breaking of the bread.

36Now while they were telling these things, 7Jesus Himself suddenly stood in their midst and said to them, “Peace be to you.” 37But they were startled and frightened, and thought that they were looking at 8a spirit. 38And He said to them, “Why are you frightened, and why are doubts arising in your 9hearts? 3910See My hands and My feet, that 11it is I Myself; 12touch Me and see, because a spirit does not have flesh and bones as you plainly see that I have.” 40And when He had said this, He showed them His hands and His feet.
