Acts 21:18-26

18And the following day Paul went in with us to 12James, and all 3the elders were present. 19After he had greeted them, he 4began to relate one by one the things which God had done among the Gentiles through his 5ministry. 20And when they heard about them, they began 6glorifying God; and they said to him, “You see, brother, how many 7thousands there are among the Jews of those who have believed, and they are all 8zealous for the Law; 21and they have been told about you, that you are 9teaching all the Jews who are among the Gentiles to abandon Moses, telling them 10not to circumcise their children nor to 11walk according to 12the customs. 22So what is to be done? They will certainly hear that you have come. 23Therefore, do 13as we tell you: we have four men who 14have a 15vow upon themselves; 24take them along and 16purify yourself together with them, and 17pay their expenses so that they may 18shave their 19heads; and then everyone will know that there is nothing to what they have been told about you, but that you yourself also conform, keeping the Law. 25But regarding the Gentiles who have believed, we sent a letter, 20having decided that they should abstain from 21meat sacrificed to idols and from blood and what is 22strangled, and from sexual immorality.” 26Then Paul 23took along the men, and the next day, after 24purifying himself together with them, he 25went into the temple giving notice of the completion of the days of purification, until the sacrifice was offered for each one of them.
