Acts 2:37-40

Now when they heard this, they were 1pierced to the heart, and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles, “2Brothers, 3what are we to do?”

Peter said to them, “4Repent, and each of you be 5baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins; and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

For 6the promise is for you and your children and for all who are 7far away, as many as the Lord our God will call to Himself.”

And with many other words he solemnly 8testified and kept on urging them, saying, “9Be saved from this 10perverse generation!”
