Song of Songs 5:9-16

9“1 2What kind of beloved is your beloved, O 3most beautiful among women? 4What kind of beloved is your beloved, That thus you adjure us?”

10“5My beloved is dazzling and 6ruddy, 7 8Outstanding among ten thousand.11His head is like gold, pure gold; His 9locks are like clusters of dates And black as a raven.12His 10eyes are like doves Beside streams of water, Bathed in milk, And 11reposed in their 12setting.13His cheeks are like a 13bed of balsam, Banks of sweet-scented herbs; His lips are 14lilies 15Dripping with liquid myrrh.14His hands are rods of gold Set with 16beryl; His abdomen is carved ivory Inlaid with 17 18sapphires.15His legs are pillars of alabaster Set on pedestals of pure gold; His appearance is like 19Lebanon Choice as the 20cedars.16His 21 22mouth is full of sweetness. And he is wholly 23desirable. This is my beloved and this is my friend, O daughters of Jerusalem.”
